    I have read somewhere that diary writing is a wonderful habit. If you are maintaining the records of your daily life, it always helps. I want to know how this habit benefits us if we maintain a diary? What are the psychological effects on the body and mind?

  • Writing, maintaining, and keeping a diary of daily events for a long time is a great hobby and some people possess it. Earlier it was more common because people had more time but today due to the people being busy in social media and other internet indulgences time is not sufficient with the people for that diary activity.
    One distinct advantage of diary writing is that it inculcate creative writing in the people albeit through a different route. Another interesting thing is that it also helps in finding out the date of a particular event in case one wants to dig out the past due to some need. So diary works as a record book also.
    If a person is interested in writing diary which people generally write before going to sleep in the night then it is to be noted that at least 10-15 minutes are required for that activity and only those who have that type of patience can think of doing that.

Diary writing helps to refurbish our memory and make retrieval easier as a reference book.

    I myself have distributed diaries for our company to related officials every year. We prepared diaries by embossing our company name in the diaries every year. This was on the one side an advertisement for the companies also.

  • Diary writing at the end of the night might reflect the emotions of the writers expressed on some happenings. Hence writing a diary could indicate the potentials of the author indicating to what extent he is able to influence the readers with his writing abilities.
    While we were in schools especially in the high schools, our head masters/ Principals were encouraging us to start writing diaries at the last hours of nights. While continuing our studies in the high schools, we pupils were fascinated to go ahead with this passion for some time and looking back the years with our indulgence in putting forth ideas in this fashion has strengthened our beliefs that at least putting our emotions in that ways has encouraged us to write the events in a more rational ways thus achieving our writing skills.
    Apart from that we could recall up the our old days how we are able to connect our emotions in the form of writings and to what extent we were expressive in our writing abilities.

  • In my personal experience writing a diary has always helped me in getting out of any situation which is troubling me. I don't write it on a daily bases but always try to do so and whenever I do it is always so heart-relieving. It not only solves the present-day problem of the person concerned because one can analyse what exactly is going wrong in life and what is written but also helps a person to re-analyse his/her personality traits whenever re-reading those pages of his/her life give them better perspective towards life and also tells them about how they overcome the earlier situation and how they can overcome the current situation as well. Also writing on a daily bases improves writing skills as well for the youngsters improves their vocabulary. It is one of the best habits if built at an early age helps a person lifelong to overcome any kind of trauma, repressed feelings, or problems and gives a better perspective towards life.
