My daughter is studying in 3rd grade state syllabus & she is planning to switch to CBSE school for the next academic yr (2023-2024). Will it be ok for me to take admission in 4th grade taking into consideration of 14 yrs minimum age for written 10th board examination? Her DOB is 14/07/2015.

  • As per the existing rules the minimum age required for appearing for the 10th examination, the candidate should complete his /her 14th year by the end of December in the year in which the candidate is attending the final examination. Now as per the given information your daughter will be writing the 10th examination in the year, in the year 2029-30. She will be completing her 14th year in the same year. So there will not be any issue.

  • Since the existing norm indicates that the minimum age for appearing the class ten Board Examination for any candidate, he/ she should have completed 14 years of age by the end December in the year in which the candidate is to write his final examination.
According to the information furnished by you, your daughter is to write her tenth examination in the year 2029 - 30, completing her 14 th year in the same year and doing calculations for her eligibility criteria, she is fulfilling the norm of the Board.
