  • How to get gap between courses condoned?

Do you have a gap in between completing a course and joining another? Are you looking for ways to get the gap condoned? Follow this thread for guidance from our experienced members.

After completing my B Tech in 2020, I took admission for B Ed next year in 2021 after one year of gap due to some family problems. I couldn't join any full time work during that period so I did freelancing as a subject matter expert.

Now I am planning to go for MBA after completing my B Ed. But I want to know that how I can get this gap between my B Tech and this B Ed condoned. Please guide me.

  • What is your plan? In which line do you want to continue your career?
After B.Tech, you might have gone for MBA. But you started your B.Ed. One should go for B.Ed only if he wants to go for a teaching career. So try for a teacher Job after completing your BEd. While working as a teacher either in a government school or private school think of doing MBA if you are interested. Otherwise, your B Ed course is not going to give you any value addition. B.Tech, M.B.A or B. Tech, B.Ed, and MBA make no difference.
Instead of joining a full-time MBA course think of joining a job with the qualifications you have and so MBA. You can do your MBA in distance education mode only.
If you are not interested in a teaching job, you might not have gone for your B.Ed. You can join any job with your B Tech qualification and then you can do your MBA. Even now also you can try for a job in any private company with your B Tech and then think of doing an MBA. I never suggest you do a job as a stop-gap arrangement.

  • The 1 year gap between your B.Tech. and B.Ed. is not a serious matter and is not to be considered of any problem to you at this stage. Gaps in educational career are very common and could happen due to umpteen number of reasons.
What is important is your score and knowledge of subject based on which you will be applying for jobs. If you do good in some entrance exam or interview for a vacancy in a company then that is what matters most. Gap may be a problem for mediocre and low scoring students because wherever they apply it will be assumed that they failed in some exam that is why gap was there.
You are now planning to go for MBA. If you score good in that then your chances of campus recruitment will be bright. So concentrate in your MBA course and forget about the past gaps whenever they happened.
There is no procedure as such for condoning the gap because it is entirely your personal matter and an event happened during your education career.

    Knowledge is power.

  • There exists a gap between your B.Tech and your taking up B.Ed course to be utilised for your teacher's profession. In that case such gaps are not unusual thinking that B. Ed might help for taking up your teaching programs.
At the same time, you are thinking of MBA course for widening your career's prospects in the line of management. It could not be a bad idea other if your strategy is a well thought decision. As far as possible look out the premier institutions to be chosen from from IIM routs such as Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Indore, Raipur, Lucknow etc or even some B. Classes schools such as Nirma Institutes of Management, Xavier's Institute of Management cannot be bad options. You need to be serious in this regard with your admission in some premier institutions for your appropriate guidance. Before that go through the question papers of the last seven years to establish some idea for undertaking such a course. Don't deviate from your planning and you need a consistent approach during the process of your preparation. Appear for the mock tests to assess your way of preparation. Time management is the the best skills for the preparation of IIM tests or other management institutions.

  • You do have a reason in your mind. And I feel that is an honest one. You can mention this in your interview session. You are mentioning that during that free period, you also worked at Byju's. So you can mention like, I was trying out different things to check what works out in the journey. So you worked in Byju's learning platform which inspired you to take the B.Ed to get well knowledge on teaching and tutoring. So that you now know two variations in the educational system. I feel that is a good enough reason.

And also please note that when you post something in ISC, please avoid using SMS slang like u, ur. I know it is a bit hard to get rid of it since it's a habit that we follow throughout the day. Since this is an educational platform that has good reach, it will be good to keep up with normal English. You can install the Grammarly extension to your browser which will help to correct your posts. It will suggest what to change in your sentences.

  • As per my suggestion you should concentrate on one field. What do you want to do? You want to become teacher or want to join other field. Carrier selection are very important. If you are in dilemma you can't do any job. If you are interested in teaching field then you should have completed B. Ed. Otherwise, you should join any company with B. tech degree. And after joining, you should think about MBA. But as mentioned above you took admission in B. Ed after completing B. tech. It is not good combination for career purpose. Now you are planning for MBA. Thus, I think your B. Ed degree would be waste. So, career planning is very important. You don't think about educational gap. Now don't waste time and try for a job with B. tech qualification and doing job you can do MBA in distance mode.
