There are some good options for the cheaper laptops or tablets. They are generally priced below Rs 25000.
In the low end segment an Android tab or Chromebook will be a better option than going for a laptop. The reason is availability of a large number of educational apps in Android environment. Another plus point is good battery life. Further, a physical keyboard can easily be attached to an android tablet. Anyway, choice between laptop and tablet is more of personal nature and ease of operation.
