  • My Bluetooth speakers is not working on my Windows 7 PC

Finding problems in connecting Bluetooth speakers to your PC? Looking for solutions? Follow this thread for details.

I bought a UBON S70 Bluetooth Speaker set and am trying to connect it to my Windows 7 PC which has a Bluetooth dongle attached and working. But though it is detecting as a headset, no sound is coming through it. What to do? Please provide a solution if any. Please note that my Bluetooth speakers are working fine on my mobile phone.

  • Window 7 has generic drivers allowing connection between the devices. Since your laptop is Bluetooth enabled device and so to make it workable, pair the speaker with the Bluetooth. Then the Bluetooth has to be switched on. It could be of different types as given below-
    1) It might be blue key FN and the Bluetooth symbol is etched on to the keyboard button.
    Or
    2) It might be a separate switch on the older device.
In all the cases, hold down FN with the pressing of Bluetooth button simultaneously to activate the same.
A blue light would indicate that it is already switched on searching for any device within the proximity of 10 meter. There might be pop up box on the PC Screen asking you to allow Bluetooth Speaker to access the computer, however this might not happen always.

  • There are a few things you can try to resolve the issue of your UBON S70 Bluetooth Speaker not playing sound when connected to your Windows 7 PC:

1- Check the volume levels: Make sure the volume on your PC and the speaker are turned up and not on mute.

2- Check the Bluetooth connection: Ensure that the speaker is paired and connected to your PC correctly. You can check this by going to the control panel, then to devices and printers, and checking if the speaker is listed and connected.

3- Update the Bluetooth driver: Make sure you have the latest Bluetooth driver installed on your PC. You can check for updates by going to the manufacturer's website or by checking for updates through the device manager.

4- Check the default audio device: Make sure the Bluetooth speaker is set as the default audio device. You can check this by going to the control panel, then to sound, then to the playback tab and checking if the Bluetooth speaker is selected.

5- Check the speaker settings: Some Bluetooth speakers have their own settings and volume controls, so make sure you have the speaker settings configured correctly.

6- Restart the PC and speaker: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue. Try turning off the Bluetooth speaker and the PC, and then turn them on again after a few minutes.

If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a problem with the Bluetooth dongle or the speakers themselves. In this case, you should contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.
