How to join the M.Sc. programme at the National Forensic Science University

1, The National Forensic Science University is offering different courses including PhD, M.Sc and other courses.
2. The admissions are open now and the last date is 30th December 2022 and classes may start from January 2023.
3. For these courses the candidate can apply online.

4.1 Open the above site.
4.2 Click on the "Apply for online Admission 2021-22" button.
4.3 Click on the Online Admission portal link.
4.4 The Register page will be open. Click on the "Apply Now" button.
4.5 Fill out the Application Form.
4.6 Submit the application form.
4.7 Make a payment of Rs.1000/- per Program.
4.8. Submit the application form to the University
4.9 Download the application and keep it for your reference.

5. For applying for M.Sc, the candidate should have the UG in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks. For reserved categories, it is 50%.
6. The university will conduct a qualifying examination and the candidates qualified have to attend a technical interview. The candidates who have the GATE examination are exempted from the university entrance examination but they have to attend the technical interview. This examination will be conducted in the first week of January 2023. The examination will be covering the syllabus of UG and general knowledge. National Forensic Science Science University was established in 2009 for imparting post graduation degree in the forensic science to make the aspirants skilled in their investigations related to forensic tests after the handling, collection of samples and taking out analysis minutely to nab the culprits. Most of the technological features are available with the laboratories to make the students competent enough to handle the investigation job independently.
Duration- It is a two year course consisting of four semesters.
Eligibility Criteria-
The aspirants must have Bachelors Degrees in science/ forensic science/ medicine/ engineering/ pharmacy with at least 55 % marks for general/ O BC/ EWS categories and for SC/ ST/ PWD relaxation is offered to the 5% meaning thereby it has been fixed to minimum 50%.
Course Fee - Rs 50,000/- per semester with other applicable charges.
Seats - There are altogether 200 seats accommodated in centres like Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Bhopal and Tripura.
Placements - Most of the students from this course receive internship offer with stipends. The employers for such aspirants are HDFC Ergo, ICICI/ Lombard/ Incognito and many others.

After the establishment of the National Forensic Sciences University in 2009, M Sc Forensic Science was the first program started by the University.
Course duration: This is 2 years course( 4 semesters).
Eligibility criteria: candidate should have Bachelor's degree in science / Forensic Science/ Medicine / Engineering / Pharmacy with at least 55% for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates, and 50% or equivalent for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.

The University has full-fledged Training and Placements Cell which provides placement assistance for an internship as well as job placement to the students of M Sc Forensic Science in the fields of Forensic Biotechnology, Forensic Chemistry and toxicology, Forensic Physics and Ballistics, Cyber Forensics, Fingerprints and Questioned documents.
Selection process: selection will be done based on Performance in the entrance examinations.
