Also, can 1 learn VBA along with MS Excel to exceed in the field?

  • MS Excel is a spreadsheet where one can do a large number of calculations related to data entered in the cells of the spreadsheet. These cells are created through rows and columns created in the spreadsheet. One can have different pages within the same file and even those pages can be interconnected through cell reference manipulations.
MS Excel is the most popular as a spreadsheet though many other such apps are available for use.
If you are having some Science and Mathematics background and also some analytical and logical approach then you can learn it on your own just following a simple help book or guidebook on MS Excel and believe me it would take only a few weeks to understand the subtleties of this application. It is a very powerful application and basically works on a table having rows and columns and each cell can be addressed and operated using the application. You can enter any type of data by formatting that cell for that type so that the application takes it in that way. Data can be anything - a name, a date, a value etc. The beauty of this application is that if you make changes in some cells then changes will be made everywhere where these cells are linked through any formula.
If you have apprehensions in self learning then there are many sites which offer it as a free course specially the beginner module and you can very well do to that by going to that site.
Some of the popular sites are - simplilearn, mygreatlearning, udemy, alison, trumpexcel, upgrad and many more. You can try to explore in Google Garage also as they also have some free courses on a variety of topics.
Some of them provide a certificate also after completion of the course.

    Knowledge is power.

  • I would like to suggest you get a course online. There are many online platforms which provide Excel advanced certificate courses. They provide you with courses including the certificate. Udemy is the best platform to get this type of course and certificate.

So, I will recommend you to visit Udemy or download the app from the play store and you will get different courses. Select the best course which is suitable to you.

    Honesty is the best policy.

  • I learned MS Excel offline. Our organisation selected some executives to work with them and made them undergo a training programme in which MS Excel is taught by a professional. The training is for 7 days and we are able to learn MS Excel in that period of time.
Excel is a spreadsheet program. It is a component of the MS Office product group for business applications. Microsoft Excel will enable users to format, organize and calculate data in a spreadsheet. Excel will have a large number of boxes and each box is called a cell. There will be rows and columns and data will be entered in each box, Each box will be identified with a row number and column number. Commands will be created to do some mathematical operations and it is used for business analysis, performance evaluation and human resource management.
You can learn this online on your own. At the same time, you can join any institute and learn offline. I prefer the second option. You can learn from basics and will get a good grip on the subject if you learn in an institute. There are some books also which will give you full information about MS excel. I suggest you learn the complete details of the program so that you can appreciate the same and can become an expert in the same. There are many online websites also which will train in this. You can select from the available.
VBA stands for Visual Basic Analysis. It is a Microsoft programming language, It is useful for Office applications like MS Excel, MS Word, and MS-Access. It is an advanced course and it will be useful for you in using your MS Excel. It is used to automate some tasks. If you are interested in creating tools or automation VBA is good for you.
