  • A doubt regarding applicability of technical resignation

Are you confused about technical resignation from a post while preparing to join a different organisation? Are you worried about non-declaration of facts, police verification etc? Check out this thread for answers.

I have applied for two govt organisations when I was working in a private company so NOC was required at that time. Now I am selected for both organisations (Let's say A and B).

I received the police verification forms (Attestation and SSQ Forms) from B and the joining letter from A.

So I filled and submitted the police verification forms for B first before Joining A. I didn't mention joining A in those forms as I hadn't joined A at that time.

Now I joined A and declared in the form that I have applied for B along with A.

    Now I have three questions
    1. Will technical resignation from A be applicable if I get an offer letter from B?
    2. Do I have any issue with police verification for B as I am working with A but haven't mentioned the same in the attestation and SSQ forms?
    3. Should I update B about the change in data in forms ( that I joined A) but I don't want to update about that till I get the joining letter as I feel it could impact the job location allotted.

  • 1. The candidate must apply for technical resignation immediately to his/her present office (Office A). As he/she applied for a job in Office B before joining Office A, his/her application for technical resignation will be accepted by Office A. And his/her past service will be counted in Office B after he/she joins that office.

    2. Even if the applicant's application for technical resignation is not accepted by Office A, he/she may tender a normal resignation and join Office B. As he/she has joined Office A very recently, he/she won't be a loser in that case either.

    3. Police Verification is a completely different thing. The applicant must submit the filled-in form. If there is no criminal case against him/her, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Additional information: If his/her police verification was already done in respect of Office A during the last six months and if his/her technical resignation is accepted, there will be no further police verification.

It appears that the present applicant is being misguided by someone who is not fully conversant with the rule or process, but the applicant trusts that person and is following that person's advice.
