    What if our body was transparent like a glass or plastic container !

    (Two of the most creative responses to this thread that are posted on or before 31st March would be awarded 25pts and 25cc)

    This is for a funny imaginative discussion. Most of us would have wanted our body to be as packed in a transparent container, unlike the opaque skin covered one it is. We also would have wanted it tobe an assembled mechanism also.
    Mainly we feel this kind of weird thoughts when we suffer from acute headache, stomachache, throat pain etc.

    I had on many occasions, imagined that had our body been fixed with screws, nuts and bolts, we could have oiled the different parts like knee joints, neck etc when we experience pain and strain and made them smooth. Similarly when I had cough or stomach ache how many times I wished my body should be like a bag with zipper. Then I could have opened it and cleaned or greased it and solved the problem.

    If our body was transparent how easy it would have been for doctors to diagnose diseases! If our body is an assembled mechanism how easy it would have been to change parts!

    But then what would have been the nuisances and problems? Imagine and respond as funny as you can, in your own way.

    That was a wonderful thinking running out of authors mind and it makes quite laughing stock. If our body were transparent, then we might just dump the food by opening the stomach portion and then lock it.

    Usually mothers would feel when they give food to their tiny tots, if some zip is provided in the stomach, it will be very easy for them to pack everything without any struggle.

    This is certainly a funny imagination. If it is then we can see whole things that is going on a crowded area from the middle of a crowd. Our internal organs will be visible if our skin is transparent and that will make the doctors to examine about the disease without any kind of scanning. And it will reduce hospital bills.

    Parameters of beauty would probably be different then. We'd judge beauty by looking at how the intestines twirled and the bulge of the stomach. Maybe the colour of the internal organs would be a deciding factor as well.

    Looking at the other persons internal organs one would not be able to eat and sleep. You can punch/box on the transparent material of any one if you are angry and break it into pieces and feel happy

    If any part of your is not working then you be pulling out that part and fixing it yourself. Day in and out you would be removing one or the other part and oiling it and fixing it to run smoothly.

    Imagine you could be making different kinds of sounds as machines when your parts are not working properly. Funny. You would be creating noise pollution.

    If you had nut, bolts and screws you will not need any food. So no food, no need of job, no need of money. Nice to think about it. You will be a robot, but you need to compete with other robots and other kinds of problems will arise from these homo robots.

    If our body is transparent it certainly would be very funny. We can see inside parts our body. If this happens, all people will have knowledge about his body. If he has some kind of disease, he can find the reason of it. If there is any kind of sure inside our body, we can see it and remove it. So there will be no need of our doctors. Our government will not have to spend a lot of money on doctors.

    If our body is transparent, the light will pass from it. If this happens we will be invisible from the sight of other people. If we become invisible, we can do a lot of things that are wonderful in the eyes of other people. But it will be with all persons. All the persons can be invisible. So it will not be a wonder. It will be a general matter.

    But I think it will be very hateful for other people when they see to other person's body. People can see all parts of others body, it will be very bad.

    Suddenly I got this imagination.

    If the parts transparent there may be many fashion statements in advertisement and they will surely come with advertisements like this.

    If you take our products, you will be getting a nervous system like 'Aishwarya Rai' in six weeks.

    The product has been purchased by your neighbour on the right, neighbour on the left, one by the owner of down flat and upper flat? Did you?

    Please give a missed call to this number. Even you can order it on line.

    Rush, as it is the last pack. Again this manufacturing will take some time.

    Wow, that feels great to imagine a transparent body. But it would have been the height of being great if I could disappear completely, so no one can see me.

    Coming back to the topic, I feel, it comes with some creepy cons, that does sound creepy but have some juices of fact. For example, who will want to see a person with cough and cold whose nose is flowing and throat is full of.. you know what I mean. With a transparent body, it would have been yucky to watch that. It is worse than standing in front of someone with a bad smelling mouth. You know what I mean. The next fact is that, no one would have been able to lie that he/she has eaten pizza or had went for coffee if he/she has not. Because it will all be visible in stomach.

    And the most creepy sound fact that no one would be interested to see what is going inside someone's excretory system.

    However, if we will be wearing clothes, it will minimize a lot of problems, not for the doctor who checks us, though.

    One good point would have been when tumors in different parts of the body will be seen more clearly than ever, so operating and taking them out would have been much more easier and a faster process, with least cuts on the flesh.

    For middle and low class population, they would have been saved from spending money on doing X-Rays or such tests, because it may not have been necessary then.

    However, as you just shared that you imagine of a body with nuts, screws and bolts that sounds more machine than human. I personally unlike being something of that sort. Because our human body has already been made in a way that greasing and most of the maintenance of the body is done automatically by the body.

    Out of everything, I am just wondering how will we know if we have a scratch or cut on our flesh which did not bleed somehow. Ultimately, it will go out of our notice, thus the required first aid will not be provided, ending up into some severe skin infection.

    On a fun side, just imagine a person with transparent body and a Gorilla glass 3 protection to make the skin scratch-resistant.

    Ank Arya, the last line of having a Gorilla glass is a very contemporary correlation. Creative talents show up from each member, better and better, giving tough choice for the readers and continuous exercise for brain.

    What an idea sirji..
    (1)Then there will be no need to waste time to get proper treatments for which we/doctors are used to trust or depend based on reports from X-ray, ECG. Sonography and many other medical devices/ appliances.

    (2) Now a days the medical expenses are very costly. If our body will be transparent like a glass or plastic container, we can able to avoid the expenses by way of using above testing methods.

    (3) Due to the above reasons, the manufacturer of subject medical apparatus will also have to shut down their factory and may be that lead to the empty stomach of many factory workers. We will be able to see their empty stomachs also through the transparent container.

    (4) Are you suffering from cough? Just open the box of chest part, clean it. Cough clear. In case of fracture or dislocation of bones.. Simply keep/ link it there place again. Severe kidney stone pain problems?– find the location and remove it from there etc. etc.

    (5)Then Politician's stomach, who used to sit /pretend for fasting for many days, cannot escape from this transparent container. Furthermore, You will be able to see the food items (non-veg.)stored in the stomach of social workers who are echoing slogans in day light for " ban all meat" (non-veg.).

    (6) The most important one is that, no one will get sound sleep because one have to be alert day and night
    to avoid the robbery(break-in) of his or her valuable body parts/ organs.

    (7) Today's young generation (girls or boys)who is eating, sleeping alongwith mobiles/laptops will throw away these instruments and will start to play game with their own body parts by joining, adjusting, exchanging, removing etc, from one place to another by copying others shape and look. They will be busier than the usage of mobile devices, to give new shape and structure of their own body and even they will help to their friends.

    Hahaha, this thread is killing me with laughter. Imaginations have no limits.
    My kind of thoughts are running in my mind simultaneously. If we will be having transparent body assembled with nuts and screws then the hospitals will be replaced by human garages. In such cases, MBBS MD coureses will not be as prestigious ad they are in current situation.
    In market, there will be some ornaments to decorate our inner body, like- finger ring, nose ring, intestine ring, anklet, heartlet, etc. Even crazy people may get their inner parts also pierced where ever it will be possible.
    People my show off for their own body like my blood is more red than your's or heart is more handsome than your's.
    Lastly, in that case, dressing sense will also different because people will be very much willing to show their beautiful internal parts also.
    One good and very important things, there will be no scope of organ trafficking. The drug smuggling through stomach surgery will also be not possible.
    Ahhh, unlimited thoughts....

    Though a creative thought, I find it difficult to digest with the very thought of transparent / see through skin.

    Our good members have shared their thoughts in different aspects / scenarios. I feel that the rate of sexual abuse against women / rape cases would be drastically drop down and women find our society a safer place. When the internal organs particularly reproductive organs are fully exposed, people might feel disinterested in fulfilling their biological needs. I think even married couples don't find it interesting and I am afraid, this might influence the sustenance of life on Earth.

    When there is loss of interest in fulfilling biological needs, this would affect the process of reproduction and in near future, Homo sapiens might become an endangered species.

    Undoubtedly god is not crazy but has created the Earthly creatures in a very thoughtful way - making the right things in the right way and keeping the right things in the right place.

A possible situation.

    Padmini's assertion"In such cases, MBBS MD coureses will not be as prestigious ad they are in current situation." is a foreteller . Then there may be a single course like Medical Engineering. How nice for studennts!

    Kalyani, I posted this thread for provoking the creative imagination of our members. I see that. What all different angles of thinking. When more minds are joining as a team , the result will be wonderful. That is what we see here. I think this thread has to be made sticky for giving every member an opportunity to tune in their brains.

    What is discussed her cannot be dismissed as impossible. Let us imagine that we invent a new type of artificial skin which i transparent. Then in the case of various damages, new skin can be grafted and the internal parts can be visible. There were pacemakers and other medical aids attached to outside the body.

    Today's imagination can become tomorrow's reality. Let more imaginations and thoughts pour in.

    I too have shared my thought on the topic, however, it is personal feeling and I find it difficult to digest thinking of a see through skin.

    Thanks to Kalyani for the clarification.

    There are times when we see our veins in blue colur on our limbs etc. I have tried many times by placing a strong beam of torch light below my palms and could see the small capillaries and the general red colour of the blood irrigated muscle and skin.

    When we become habituated seeing each other in a way it becomes quite natural.

    I think, due to the changing environment and life style humans also will undergo mutation. But unlike other small living things like virus who has a generation period of just a few days, humans it takes thousands of years for small mutation.

    As commented by one member we may need a Gorilla Glass type or Lead Glass (*)type skin later , as we have to protect ourselves from many radiations.

    (*) Lead Glass is used as enclosure for observation where radioactive chemicals are used and handled by robots.

    Back o the fun part, when a child tells his mother that he feels hungry, his mother will look at his stomach and say it is still full. Or she may find it empty and give him more food.

    Great imagination and creativity of ISCians.
    If our body skin will go transparent then I think Tattooing will not be possible, even our heena design will not be used and will appear as beautiful as those looks now. Even doctors will recommend not to have such decoration as these may hinder inspection of body in case of any illness.
    And if we were mechanical then there may be some thing like God's picture near heart can be place as most of us do in our vehicles. Even few may have went t another level of writing different lines on their internal organs as we see behind modern cars as daddy's gift, mama's blessing or funny quote like truck driver have those on their trucks.

    .I will surely try to become an actor as there is no much face expression left for acting.
    .I will make sure that i go to a organ gym class where they focus on shaping these organs.
    .Parents and teachers will have a hard time ,instead of childrens complaining that he took my pencil , we frequently hear he took away my kidney, pancreas etc.
    .I doubt the work of police officer is going to becomes impossible , how do they identify anyone - may be like finger print we may have organ print technology.
    Oh! how do I identify anyone , may be through sound , then that will be the era of Sound technology. Resul pookutty may be the first president of Indian Institute of Sound Technology.Also we need to keep an eye on those who imitate sound.
    .We may have an Adhar card with our sound recorded on it.
    .Also i will ask the government to provide some financial support to those face and body cream companies that
    gets shut down due to the change happening to skin - I think all may have the same colour. If the organ colours are different ,then it will be a boost to beauty industry.Surely i will keep an eye on those companies shares in stock market.
    .We will be saying Beautiful brain, beautiful teeth instead of beautiful face.
    .With this transparent skin we will be naturally tuned to wear better cloths as to fully cover this total ugly look.Fashion technology may rise to a new heights. I also doubt it may be too hot inside,lets have a dress with a small fan or ac.
    .Surely there will be discussion forum and scientific research on "how to bring back our transparent skin or minimum how to shift back between transparent and non transparent skin"

    A very nice imaginative thread indeed.

    We , the humans have an internal weakness to look beautiful. There were instances of many glamorous stars to have undergone the plastic surgery to set right their nose to look more beautiful. We never bother about our internal beauty but external beauty is always praised/or we feel happy when our physical appearance is applauded. Now, what if the internal organs are exposed due to transparency of our skin?

    Sure that the cosmetic industry and the plastic&cosmetic surgeons would be more busy and costlier!

    If we humans, like machines could replace their body parts then I will start my own company to supply new body parts but not the illegal ones.My company will produce body parts from our clients dna and give our client's desired feature to it.My greatest threat will be from China becouse they will produce cheap replicas of mine and give competition to me.
    The most interesting parts is the stores that sell them.Price tages will be on them.Legs for Rs. ____.Hands for Rs. ____ and so on.You can replace the dash with any amount you can imagine.Our newspapers will be filled with our advertisements.
    We can also give new features to our body parts.Like night vision eyes.Legs with rocket boosters.Your imagination have no limits.Think think and think.Come up with weird ideas.Todays weirds idea can be tomorrows greatest invention.
    But what about the poor.They will pick up parts we throw away and tie then to their body and live with our junk parts.Then how would I identify my friend?.Oh that is easy.Your face, leg hand head, heart is changed but dna is he same.We will have a dna scanner in our eyes with which we can identify our friend or any one else.Now we relay on our senses to identify but in future the dna scanner and it will not take months to identify one.

    Last night I had a dream of myself like a robot with all my internal organs encased in a transparent glass container. I could see the rays from a mobile phone passing through my body and escaping through my back. Probably I am too involved in this thread.

    Saagar has a real doubt about how to identify a person in the absence of skin with finger print etc.He also worries about children quarreling and damaging or stealing internal parts.

    Jagdish' assertion that cosmetics may be needed for internal organs is worth.

    I appreciate newmember Shibinraj, fior his business acumen.     First of all I appreciate the imagination of the author.
    There are some funny merits and demerits of our body being transparent, I have imagined some of them they are as follows :
    If our body was transparent
    1) We could not lie to wife as well as traffic police that we are not drunk.
    2) There was no discoveries of scanning machines
    3) Doctors could easily find their scicors of other tools left inside patients body after operations.
    4) We could not lie our parents that "I went to freinds birthday party(cake party) after being from pub".
    5) Doctors could not steel patients kidneys.
