25th Anniversary of a shameful event

Twenty five years have since passed. Thousands of innocents were killed including beautiful children like flowers, seven lakh people were rendered homeless, crores of properties were looted and destroyed, women were abused and violated. Till date justice has not been done, not a single criminal has been convicted. These people have become refugees in their own country and have been living in despicable conditions in Jammu and other refugee camps all over India.

Let us not forget the plights of Kashmiri Pandits. Let us stand beside them in solidarity. Let us help rehabilitating them properly.

we must stand in support. But after responding at so many places to the same spirit, it resulted to have a vague feeling while responding. Nothing changes for the sufferer. They have to continue their life in plight.
Government will keep changing, and these real issue never raked up in their propaganda even.

I think few lessons in the school text books should be regarding limitations of Governments. Though the structure of Government systems is generally taught in schools/colleges in humanities subjects, but that is only the theoretical discourse. The Government is not omnipotent. The finer points of its limitations should be understood clearly. Perhaps then the people will be able to appreciate the Government actions in correct perspective.
Let us encourage each other in sharing knowledge.

My appreciation to the author for bringing out this burning issue which was the talk of the town topic 25 years back. Displaced in their own country and fully ignored by the political parties , the Kashmir Pandits have been silently taking the things happening to their stride and that is very disturbing. Even courts and Human rights commission fail to address their issues. I understand that many of them have divided and gone places for their own survival. Even on the World Refugee day, the plight of the Kashmir is not taken into account even by the UN.

What a pity. No justice done. This is not the only such incident, if you look at history, both Indian and International, many such incidences can be seen in which the victims are yet to get justice.

One of the many ironies in Indian politics.

Political parties and vested interests make mountain out of molehill and hide real mountains and reproduce them as mole hills.

Many times inconvenient facts are hidden and doctored misinformation get worldwide publicity . Making a small amendment to the old saying,-Only crying and violently agitating child gets attention.

I saw same video it is heart wrenching. But I really do not know what we can do to help them.
