Yes by keeping silence we can achieve many things. What I personally learned that by keeping ourselves silent and allowing others to talk, we can learn more from them. Normally people will think that by constant interaction between the two persons will fetch more information, but when you allow the opposite person to talk and when you simply listen with great interest . he thinks that you are giving more importance to him or her and thus share many things which they might have restricted either too. Moreover by keeping quite or silent, we are saving our energy for the future requirements. Greats are those who can talk in silence through the gestures. By doing so we are not only disturbing others, or knowing our conversation details, we are also keeping a suspense about our way of exchanging views.

Yes, I do agree. Generally silence speaks much louder than loudly-spoken words. However, even after knowing this, we have to occasionally shout to make some people (with low level of intelligence) understand.
Beware! I question everything and everybody.

Silence is a great attribute in life and many times it does more than speech. It is the answer to many situation in life and people who can use it such times are really great because it is very difficult to have control on ones speech.
It is really a surprising thing that sometimes silence can work like a miracle and the tense and streessful situation dissolves in a soft river of comfortable coexistance.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Silence is always a better way of behaving ourselves. God has given us two ears to hear but only one mouth to speak. This itself is an indication that use your ears more and learn more rather than talking more. Silence is the starting point of meditation. When a controversy comes if you keep silent the situation can't go out of control. When you hear silently you can absorb more information than when you talk. Some people always try to put up a show by talking more. But finally they will end without any appreciation from anybody. Always use ears more and mouth less.
