Haryana High court gives the strongest condemnation to BJP?

BJP government in Haryana came under flak from HC. The riot following arrest of one of the most influential self proclaimed God man has raised severe questions. The convict has support from none other than BJP MP who advices court give voice to his supporters. Two states under boil with 36 already dead. HC has lashed out at BJP for vote bank politics. HC has asked PM to behave like PM of India and not mere BJP. A constitutional court has come out strongly against inaction of BJP government. This certainly requires a discussion among us. BJP popularity is surely on rise ever since its electoral triumph from 2014. But its secular credentials is often questioned. For the first time a constitutional court has lashed out a party as whole. The riot was despite full warning from several quarters.

Well we are no body to talk against the court order and that is must to create of a sense of responsibility on the part of the government and administration to behave to the situation and not take sides. Here what I would like clarify the author that when the mob gathers in lakhs, even handful of police and other enforcement agencies cannot do anything. Moreover the followers of the Godman were so much that they already made the mind to confront with the court and administration of the order comes against them. Here I would blame the crooked mind of the God man who instigated the mob to attack court and destroy public properties so that the court would give verdict in favor. But that has gone wrong. In that mass movement, every government fails and there is not exception to Haryana government. But PM Modi was furious and serious on the matter.

When government uses its power Mob run away. So, it does not really matter whether lakhs of supporters are there or not. First question is how so much lakhs of supporters came to one place. Why government deal with that situation strictly before. High Court statement was correct and satisfactory to us.

BJP government or any other government has to face the music if it is not able to deal with certain situations properly. For High Court all are same. At the same time BJP will never try to bring in politics into court matters. For anybody court orders are final.BJP popularity is definitely on increasing and it will further increase that is for sure. But this is not the first time this is happening in India. Even when Indira Gandhi also had God Man as her adviser in her ruling and why we never call her non secular. Unfortunately secularism comes to mind of everybody if BJP is involved. Nobody will encourage these kind of people and definitely central government will act tough on this. But I request all the learned people not to bring in secular credentials into picture,

The comment by the court was due to an irresponsible, immature, unwanted, unsolicited counter made by state government counsel. It provoked the Hon judges to give the cryptic retort.

However our discussing now is like becoming 'wise after the event'. Those public who criticise the Haryana govt now would have criticised and castigated the government in another way if the situation was handled differently.

Handling a person or matter which has lakhs of blindly emotional faithful followers is a double edged sword. It can hurt either way. Probably the government with its inputs and judgement would have felt that any other pre- emptive action would have resulted in worse. The govt side has its own limitations to disclose such matters also. The approach and reaction of a government will be more of political pragmatism and may not be on the same wavelength as of courts of law at all times.

Even those political parties who now exploit the opportunity to hit at Haryana government also were patronising the particular sect or cult for their benefit at some or other time.

The lesson for the BJP is that it is just like double entry accounting. If you gain somewhere it will automatically balance the same by losing at another. BJP was vehemently criticising states ruled by Congress , Trinamool Cngress or Left parties in similar situations and even asking for resignation of those governments or bringing President's rule. Now they are getting back in the same coin.

The Haryana Govt. could not maintain the law & order on the day when the judgement was announced in the case of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The High Court very correctly rebuked the State Govt. for this failure. The State Govt. took proper steps after the rebuke and the situation was almost normal the next day itself.

Now compare the situation with the situation of West Bengal. Despite receiving flak from Calcutta High Court for 'minority appeasement' in at least three cases, the State Government of West Bengal has been committing the same mistake (preferential treatment) even now.

Beware! I question everything and everybody.

Partha what you said is right. When we compare the situation of Haryana with WB, Mamta Banerjee wont care the Judiciary and why the court there is silent on her misbehavior and she must be booked for not following the orders ?

It seems BJP is not able to manage the things properly.
Kids deaths at Gorakhpur hospital, repeated rail accidents in UP and now Panjab and Haryana riots,…etc.. are blots on their copy book. For each and every mistakes, they are seeking excuses,
What bout Make in India programme?
How many jobs they created in India? Nothing,
    Only promises.
    Are they failing?
The problem with BJP is that they are viewing everything through Hindu-Muslim lens. Not even Hindu- Mislim,It is Hindu vs Muslim lens This ultimately lead them to collapse.

Let us accept the fact that the Haryana State Government failed miserably in this connection. Despite intelligence reports of a possible violence, the government did not take any action to restrict followers of the so called Godman from assembling at a place and instead of imposing a curfew, they opted to restrict people from carrying arms. If a curfew was imposed well before and the followers banned from assembling, such a grave situation could have been avoided.

The caution by the High Court to our Prime Minister is indeed a blot on the image he has been trying to project. Let us not try to justify a wrong by citing precedence. If the Congress had followed appeasing politics, it does not give the BJP justification to do the same. Comparisons doesn't bring in positive results. There is no point in pointing fingers at others when you yourself is on the wrong side.

Let us start admitting wrongs, irrespective of differences, if we have the slightest responsibility, as citizens, towards our Constitutional principles and democratic values.
