    Diwali cracker ban and aftereffects, where the solution lies-behavioral economics or time?

    Despite Apex Court ban on diwali crackers in the NCT and NCR of Delhi people who otherwise thought to be more conscious about democracy and their rights and duties defied the court order in letter and spirit. In the age when world is talking about behavioral economics and nudge to change habits of the populace, do you think that India still needs to grow more to catchup on that kind of thinking level. Where citizens come forward to contribute or demand change rather than government or courts pushing change from topdown?

    Change is a continuous process. Without change, nothing will stagnant at one position always. The amount of money and time spent on these festivals were very high in India. But as the time is passing on a lot of change in how we spend on these festivals and the lavish expenditures on these festivals are coming down. The crakers sound were starting at least today's before Deepawali and continue for at least two days after Deepavali. But this year there are sounds only one day that is the Deepavali day that too for a limited time only. reports say that there is a decrease in the pollution also this year when compared to earlier. Everybody talks about crackers on a day. How much pollution we are creating every day by using private vehicles for our moments. The change has to come here first. Cracker is a one-day affair. To neutralise that we all will take a pledge that one day in a year we will not use any of our private vehicle for commuting, we will use public transport only. This will be the best move. So Indian will always talk about the acts of others and which will not affect them. But if we take a common point where majority will get affected that change will not be accepted by all
