Another ornament for the city of pearls.

28th November 2017 will be an unforgettable day in the history of this great city. Another pearl has been added to the great city. Today our beloved Prime Minister of India has inaugurated the metro rail services in the city and travelled in the metro with other VIPs. Even though there is a lot of delay in executing the project which was the brainchild of Mr.Chandra Babu Naidu, who was the then Chief Minister of combines Andhra Pradesh. Because of various other happenings in the political arena of the state, the introduction of metro train services has got delayed too much. However, the vision of metro trains has become reality and this may make the city a little hassle-free traffic city in coming days.

Congratulations to Hyderabad on getting the metro. Such projects require a lot of infrastructure and delays are partly due to the complex regulations to get the land and actual construction to complete without blocking existing road traffic. It would certainly help in the traffic. In Bangalore, the metro has made an impact in the ease of travel. Journeys that would take 90 minutes during peak hours on roads, can now be done within 20-30 minutes. Many people park their vehicles at the station and then take the metro for work and personal commuting over long distances. Now Bangalore has four metro lines like a cross across the city, the infrastructure and day to day running is comparable with western cities. The only problem would be the long-term maintenance and staffing at cost-effective prices so that people do not have to shell out more money with frequent price hikes.

The metro is Hyderabad would definitely be proved very useful for the daily commuters-this much can be stated without an iota of doubt. This will also indirectly reduce the problem of pollution in the city as many people will start using metro instead of their personal vehicles. I hope the frequency of the metro service would be good like that of Delhi and the metro will expand further in due course of time.

On the other hand, the property price at the places adjacent to the metro stations will sky-rocket.

Beware! I question everything and everybody.

I extend my warm greeting and best wishes for the people of Hyderabad to cherish and enjoy the elevated travel experience through Metro Rail project which was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narender Modi. Yes the project itself a marvel and testimony of India's expertise in Engineering.. Mind it the whole project which went through the main roads of the city was carried on such a way with minimum inconvenience to the road users and thus the state government has earned the big pat from the Prime Minister for executing the project without any failure. Yes there was some delay, but again big projects cannot be and should not be completed in haste as the Metro rail is going to take over 17 lakh passengers daily across the city once all the three corridors and thrown open to the public. Other two corridors are fast nearing completion and we can see them fully operational by Telugu Ugadi next year.
