A record unbeaten for more than 30 years.

In cricket we hear about many records like highest centuries, highest runs, highest wickets, highest wickets so on and so forth. These records will be crossed by others in due course of time and new records will be established. This is a very common point in many sports, especially in Cricket. But the record which is achieved almost 30 years back is still alive and nobody is able to achieve that record so far.
The famous Indian Wicketkeeper Kiran More effected 5 stumpings in an innings and 6 stumpings in the match against the West Indies. This is still the record for most stumpings in a Test innings and Test match. At Madras in 1988, More achieved this record. It is still the record to be broken. A great performer and my tributes to him.

Interesting! Is it an Indian record or international record? But thanks to Dr. Rao for this information. Kiran More was a diminutive wicket-keeper about who we don't discuss much, because of his illustrious predecessor Kirmani and successor Dhoni.

Today or tomorrow I will raise a Forum on another international record made by an Indian which is more than 50 years old and still unbroken. I don't think that this record can be broken in another 100 years.

Beware! I question everything and everybody.

After Kirmani, our team India had a very good wicket keeper called Kiran More and his keeping the wickets behind the stumps are truly fantastic to watch and he was quick enough to move either left or right and thus confused the batsman with his classic stumping. And the way he used to hoot and give a pep to bowler to maintain line and length and the way he comes forward to stump the opponents are really noteworthy. That is the reason being so his records are still unreachable by other teams and also from our own country. Of course we miss the calibre of Kiran more even today.

The information posted by the author about the record made by wicketkeeper Kiran More is astonishing as well as interesting.

No doubt cricket is a game of statistics and records. There are so many records that it is difficult to track them. Those who are interested in cricket have lots of information like this and during social chit chats they exchange that happily.

Cricket, as it is said, is a game of chance and such records can be broken only with a stroke of good luck.

    Knowledge is power.

An excellent record that true cricket fans would be proud of. The great wicketkeeper, small in size but agile with a good presence of mind. Kiran More is also famous for his exchange of quite words and unsettling Javed Miandad.

If a wicketkeeper has to get 6 stumpings in a match of which 5 were from one innings it speaks highly of the bowling line up. In this same match, Narender Hirwani got 16 wickets on his debut which is also a world record.
