    "Padmavat glorifies Rajputs."

The Rajput Karni Sena announced yesterday that there is no objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs.' The Karni Sena decided to withdraw its protest against the screening of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film "Padmavat".It accepted that the film glorifies the valor of Rajputs. A few members of the Karni Sena watched the movie on the instructions of their leaders in Mumbai on Friday. They said that the movie glorifies the valor and sacrifice of Rajput and every Rajput will be feeling proud after watching the film. They also promised to help the Governments of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat to peacefully screen the film. So all the drama and protests proved to be much ado about nothing. According to reports, the film has already crossed Rs 150/ crore collection and on its way to net huge profits.

The film released after editing the controversial scenes also the name of the movie. Some dialogues are really good and it shows the real Rajput character in it.

So the controversy surrounding the film is over and let the movie goers see the film in full and decide why was such furore created without even watching the film and arriving at bad conclusion on their own. Any this is the warning signal for the producers and directors that they should not touch some topics which has the sentiments of religions and leaders and thus make the movie for viewing pleasure and nothing more than that. And on the part of fringe groups they should not target the movies just based on rumours and give chance for the film maker to prove their point too.

I wish the movies makers and the trouble makers had sat face to face in an informal discussion and watched the entire movie, propose/accept the changes and let the country get on with it's daily life.

We don't know the difference between the original content and the movie that has been release now. After all the controversies, I would be surprised if the movie has not been edited keeping all the violence and destruction.

I'm glad that the movie portrays the Rajputs in good light and the Karni Sena itself coming out and stating that there are no issues.

In India, a wrong word, a wrong stare in a wrong locality, a wrong message to or against a community can tigger violence in our country. When such is the case, the agitators should have requested a dialogue with the film makers before resorting to violence. Having creative freedom is essential but the movie makers also should be practical keeping the potential for trouble but just the name or a few scences.
