In our country Kanchipuram,Tamilnadu has one of Holi Shankara Mutt. 69th pontiff Holi Shri Jayendra saraswathi swamigal attained Mukti in 28th February.
He born on 18.07.1935 in Irulneeki village in Thiruvarur district of Tamilnadu. He was consecrated ad seer of Kanchi on 22.03.1954 and took total charge of mutt in the year 1994.He formed an entrance arch for Thakeswari Mandir in Daka of Bengal. He visited Kailash Parvath and Manasarovar in the year 1998 where he installed a statue for Adhi Shankaracharya.
Many people surrounded Kanchi Mutt to have darshan and there was no religion bias among them as many muslim people were among them. His junior Vijayendrar is expected to be the next Head of the Mutt.

No comments as this seer faced criminal charges. He was not a clean seer. He brought disgrace to the Holy Mutt of Adi Sankaracharya.

I have observed the saint. He feels himself great over anything and everything in this world. Many trust him and praise him.

    No life without Sun

Felt sad and sorry on seeing the news that Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi has attained Siddhi on 28th Feb. But the news channels failed to cover this sad news, instead started beaming the live telecast of Sridevi last journey. Nevertheless , this seer was instrumental and important to propogate and bring more fame and name to the Mutt. He was the first seer to agree and admit dalits to do pooja and rituals and thus made a significant stride in this regard. But his way of functioning was not liked by some including late Jayalalithaa and thus had tiff and eventually gone to jail. But for his good work , we must give him credit.

The body of the 82 year old Jayendra Saraswathi, the 69th pontiff of the Kanchi Mutt, was buried on March 1, 2018, Thursday, amid chants inside the 7 ft x 7 ft burial pit in the Brindhavan annexe.

It reminds us that nobody is above the clutches of death.

May his soul rest in peace.

Let us encourage each other in sharing knowledge.
