Rajiv Gandhi Death anniversary. Had he was there, Congress would have been more professional ?

Today Congress is celebrating Martyrs day, on the 27th death anniversary of Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was looking so charming and had the smiling face and instantly connected with the youth and others. He was ardent listener of the performers and took actions accordingly. On his death not only Congress , even India lost a able politician who was professional in dealing many things. If he was alive, Congress would not fare bad as it was under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Yes we miss Rajiv Gandhi.

Rajiv Gandhi was also like Rahul Gandhi in the initial days in politics. Sanjay Gandhi his younger brother was dominating in politics. But the unexpected sudden death of Sanjay gave a chance to Rajiv to come into politics. As time passed he became more shrewd. He was the person who insulted the then CM of united AP Mr T. Anjaiah. He is responsible for the communications field development in India. He was a better guy definitely than his son.
His sudden death bought Congress to power again. At that time people are not expecting Congress victory. But his death brought unexpected victory and brought Congress again to power. We should remember him this day is his 27th death anniversary. I also feel if he has not died and continued for some more time he might have done something good to his party if not to tye country.

Yes, Rajiv Gandhi had a far better record of achievements than what is made of this great Modi. For example, it was Rajiv Gandhi, who save the futility of the Public Sector companies, and started to slowly the process of private participation in each of them.

He encouraged a thorough professional like Sam Pitroda, who was one of the chief architects of the telecom revolution. His record of electrification and his achievements in terms of bringing in foreign direct investment, was actually better than most other Prime Ministers. Had he been alive, this BJP would have been confined to only the North of India, more particularly, UP.

Rajiv Gandhi had a wonderful relationship with Chief Ministers of States like Tamil Nadu, and worked alongside the great MGR in doing so many good things. Today, his charisma is so much missing in the Congress party. This is the one reason that the BJP has been able to exploit the vacuum towards its own advantage.

Nice observation fro AB . The vacuum created by Rajiv's death has become blessing in disguise for the BJP to emerge strongest alternative to Congress.
