Pensioners need not go personally for verification. Thanks to Digital India.

Either too there was a compulsion for pensioners and their dependents to visit the pension issuing authority or the banks to show their face or to obtain nod for issuing further pension and that was cumbersome method as the elders who are having various problems cannot visit alone and has to take the help of others. But now thanks to Digital India effort of the Modi government, pensioners who have their Aadhaar and pension account details can send the authentication on line and that is accepted as visited and verified.

Yes. It is now very comfortable with this online verification. My father gone to the local eseva center and completed the formality. He felt very happy for the same. Digital India initiative is helping a lot for many issues.

All these online services are developing in A.P. from many long years (1999) onwards. As the technologies are improving more and more new services are adding which is making the lives of people more comfortable. Even long back debit cards, credit cards and online services of banks, digital govt. services are going on from long back. It is ongoing process of technology. This is not a new innovation because of Digital India.

Previously the services were selective and not aware by the pensioners. Now it has become reality and regular.

This has really a big milestone in the governance side of rules and procedures that the pensioner has now only to visit the bank branch and give impression of his finger or thumb and it is electronically transmitted as a proof of his existence for receiving the pension.

It is interesting to note that with advancements in computer technology and incorporation of online facilities our governance in the administrative system is improving.

    Knowledge is power.
