    Which is the best fish to consume for our good helath?

    Dear Members,
    Many Non-vegetarians would agree that the best meat is the fish meat. Now my question is - which is the best fish to consume for our good health?

    There are ample varieties of fishes available in the market. Sardines, macrols, Netholi, King fish, Nagara, pamblet and prawns are few varieties I know. There are also dam or river fishes like Ragu, katla etc. Other members may know the other varieties of fishes they prefer.

    Let us discuss - Which is the best fish or seafood to consume for our good health?

    There are several varieties of fishes which are generally recommended by experts. Fish become important because of its Omega - 3 fatty acids. These are good fats that are not produced by humans by their own. Omega-3 fatty acid play an essential role for a healthy heart and brain. It reduces the risk of heart disease. Nutritionsits recommend the eating of fish, particularly fatty fish like salmon, lake trout, sardines and albacore tuna which are high in omega-3. They recommend the intake at least twice a week.
    The other fish varieties recommended are cod, Herring, mahi mahi, mackerel, perch, rainbow trout, striped bass and a few others.
