August, 2018: We have lost three popular leaders within ten daysIn the month of August, 2018, some very popular and respected political leaders are leaving the mortal world one after another. On 7th August, 2018, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and a leader in the forefront of Tamil movement, Muthuvel Karunanidhi left the world at an age of 94. On 13th August, 2018, noted Parliamentarian, former CPI(M) leader and former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Somnath Chatterjee passed away. He was an immensely popular leader of West Bengal. And yesterday (16th August, 2018), we lost Bharat Ratna and three-time Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, forever.
We may or may not support their political ideologies, but we can't deny their impact on Indian politics. It would take years to fill the void created due to their demise.
[P.S.: On 15th August, 2018, we also lost Ajit Wadekar, who was actively involved in cricket politics of Mumbai and also of India.]
