India celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary year of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi

Nation celebrating 150 th birth anniversary year of Bapuji, the Father of the Nation. Not only India various nations through out the world commemorating the birth anniversary of Gandhiji with great honour and respect. UNO organizing Mahtma Gandhi's birth day as "World Peace Day". Gandhi as a personality trait of simple and shy nature d brought and united all the Indian's together on a common platform and fought against British and fulfilled the dream of Independence to the people of India. The weapons he used to bring independence are non-violence and insistence on truth. Gandhiji whatever he preached to others he followed first. Gandhiji left a great mark on all Indians as great patriot and he must be a role model to all people of all generations of India as well as the people of the world. On this great occasion every Indian can salute this great person and follow his great ideals as a mark of respect to him.

I salute to the great person Bapuji whose principles are relevant forever in this world. In the own words of Mr Barrak Obama, the former President of USA, Gandhiji is a rare gift to the world. Gandhiji is a person who is acclaimed all over the world.

Yes it is the great occasion for the country which is celebrating 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi in grand scale. Such was the greatness of that grand old man that the UN is organizing World Peace Day every year in honor of Mahatma. Across the world Gandhiji commands respect and we are also duty bound to follow the great ideals. In this regard I came across a renewed message which our father of nation has created with three monkeys that one should not say bad, should not see bad and should not hear bad. The same message has been re-created for the present generation that one should not share bad messages on internet, one should not watch porn contents on the internet and one should not hear bad messages being gone viral on the internet. Very true, the youth are vulnerable to bad contents on Internet and this new message holds good.

It is the duty of each and every Indian to salute and respect, The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi each and every day as he was instrumental in getting the freedom to our country. As we may not do that every day it is our minimum duty to salute the great man at least on his birthday. My salutations and respects to the great leader who made India independent.

Gandhi Jayanti is observed as "International Day of Non- Violence" but not as "World Peace Day." The World Peace Day is observed on 21 September of every year starting from the year 1982.
On 15 June 2007, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to observe 2nd of October every year as the "International Day of Non-Violence." The resolution passed by the General Assembly asks all the members of the UN to commemorate 2nd October in "an appropriate manner and disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness."
