Jawaharlal Nehru was a great statesman and leader of his time. He was one of the important persons in the freedom movement and he had a vision to make India as one of the best democracies in the world.

At the time of getting independence we were not having our own organisations to move and align the country in the progressive line. We had the skeleton but Mr Nehru provided the necessary flesh by creating a large number of public sectors and other Govt organisations to take up the challenges which India faced at that time.

In today's perspective of privatisation and liberalisation, the vision of Mr Nehru may not be understood in its intended form but the people having interest in history and politics might recall the necessity of creating such departments at that time for immediate growth of the country in various areas.

    Knowledge is power.

Chaha Nehru, famously known, among school children is a very strong freedom fighter and he was the first Prime Minister of Independent India. The concept of a five-year planning system was his brainchild only. He was responsible for many development programmes he has carried out during his tenure as PM. He made all his family members as Patriots and gave them chances to serve the public in various ways whether they have power or not.
His birthday is being observed in our country as children's day. Nehru used to like children very much and he used to spend a lot of his free time with children only. Even today many primary and secondary school celebrate his birthday as children's day by conducting many special programmes in the schools.
