Another feather in its cap! - ISRO successfully launches satellite HysISISRO achieved its another target today. Its PSLV-C43 succeeded in injecting into orbit India's one of the most prestigious earth observation satellite HysIS along with 30 co-passenger satellites from eight countries from the launching pad at Sriharikota. The Hyper Spectral Imaging Satellite (HysIS) with a life span of five years is expected to study the earth's surface in visible, near infrared and shortwave infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. With this successful launch, the primary satellite of the PSLV-C43 completes its 45th flight.
PSLV-C43, is the 'Core Alone' version of PSLV and the lightest version of the launch vehicle. This is ISRO's second launch in the month. Out of the 30 satellites, 23 satellites are from the US, the rest are from Australia, Canada, Columbia, Finland, Malaysia.
