Will the Prajakutami or BJP be a game changer in the Telangana elections?

The state of Telangana is going to polls on 7th of this month to mark its 2nd general election for the state assembly after being carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014. The party TRS which led the separate state movement won the 1st general election in 2014 and its supremo and CM of the state K Chandrasekhar Rao dissolved the state assembly during Sept'18 this year 9 months ahead of the next election scheduled to held in 2019. Election Commission of India decided to hold elections along with Rajasthan, MP, Chattisgarh and Mizoram.

The polls on 7th of this month have a significance in Indian politics. There has been a triangular fight in the state among TRS, BJP and Congress led Prajakutami. Interestingly, TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu which fought against Congress all these years has joined hands with Congress and contesting the elections in Telangana with only 13 seats out of 119. But he joined the election campaign with Rahul Gandhi and the complexion of the game has completely appears to be changed. Known for his Hi-tech governance and development of Hi-tech city in Hyderabad, his roadshows in the city of Hyderabad getting good response. In case the Prajakutami wins the election, surely it will have an influence in the next elections in AP and Lok Sabha in 2019. It may boost up his energy to form Mahaghatbhandan at national level.

On the other hand, the BJP gained its momentum with the presence of Modi and Shah in the election campaign and there seems to be some good number of share of seat win to decide the next Govt. in case of a hung assembly. Will the Prajakutami or BJP be a game changer in the Telangana elections?

BJP may have any stance in Telangana. In the last elections in 2014 as TDP is its ally BJP was able to get few seats. But this time without TDP it is almost impossible to get any seats. The big fight is between Prjakutami and TRS only. As election date is nearing TRS is loosing its strength as some of its top leaders are resigning. The TRS has no ground foundation for its party as most of the members were either drawn from TDP or Congress.

I am from Hyderabad. I am following all the happenings here through newspaper or TV Channels. I have also attended one or two meetings and talked with different people. The entry of Naidu into Prajakutami has given some hope to Congress. He is canvassing in almost all the areas of Hyderabad and Telangana with other party leaders. The response in Hyderabad is good. That is why KCR and KTR are very worried and their only agenda now is to criticize Babu only. KTR says if Babu comes for Telangana election KCR will go to Andhra Pradesh during the elections there. Where is TRS in Andhra Pradesh?
Initially many people thought it is a cake walk for KCR. That is why he has gone for early poles. Now there is a change in the situation. Prajakootami is making inroads. From BJP big people are coming and campaigning for their candidates. It is giving some hope to BJP candidates also. Definitely, in Hyderabad, both BJP and Prajakootami will do good. In other places, there may be an advantage to Prajakootami as the BJP will get some votes and it will make TRS get fewer votes than the kootami.
The present expectation is no more a cake walk to TRS. Prajakootami will also have a chance. The majority for any of the two either TRS or Prajakootami will be very narrow. The independents may play an important role. Both KCR and Naidu are experts in dealing with these independents.

There will be a tough fight between Prajakutami and TRS as I think peoples-front will cross over the line adding to that TRS know the grass roots and pulse of Telangana state people as well as there are align with MIM party we cannot underestimate them at all who ever wins there will be a small margin in seats and percentage of votes. As Chandrababu political intelligence and experience will play a pivotal role in deciding the prajakutami or peoples-front success.

TRS has won the elections. This is the only party who got more seats than 2014 elections in the state. Congress and TDP combination had no impact. No caste or creed. The majority voted for KCR. It looks like people who came and settled in Telangana also voted for him.
No leader from BJP or Other parties presence in Telangana has an impact this time. There is a rumour that KTR will be the CM and KCR may go for National level politics. We have to wait and see. By evening or tomorrow morning it will be confirmed.l
