Will the Prajakutami or BJP be a game changer in the Telangana elections? The state of Telangana is going to polls on 7th of this month to mark its 2nd general election for the state assembly after being carved out of Andhra Pradesh in 2014. The party TRS which led the separate state movement won the 1st general election in 2014 and its supremo and CM of the state K Chandrasekhar Rao dissolved the state assembly during Sept'18 this year 9 months ahead of the next election scheduled to held in 2019. Election Commission of India decided to hold elections along with Rajasthan, MP, Chattisgarh and Mizoram.
The polls on 7th of this month have a significance in Indian politics. There has been a triangular fight in the state among TRS, BJP and Congress led Prajakutami. Interestingly, TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu which fought against Congress all these years has joined hands with Congress and contesting the elections in Telangana with only 13 seats out of 119. But he joined the election campaign with Rahul Gandhi and the complexion of the game has completely appears to be changed. Known for his Hi-tech governance and development of Hi-tech city in Hyderabad, his roadshows in the city of Hyderabad getting good response. In case the Prajakutami wins the election, surely it will have an influence in the next elections in AP and Lok Sabha in 2019. It may boost up his energy to form Mahaghatbhandan at national level.
On the other hand, the BJP gained its momentum with the presence of Modi and Shah in the election campaign and there seems to be some good number of share of seat win to decide the next Govt. in case of a hung assembly. Will the Prajakutami or BJP be a game changer in the Telangana elections?
