The author has made a very good attempt to list all the festivals that are being celebrated in India. Of course the list is still bigger as many festivals we celebrate are not included. Ugarit in AP, Vinayaka Chavithi, Vijayadasami, Deepavali and Rakmnavami are also important festivals we celebrated in AP and Telangana. Bathakamma Festival is very big festival in Telangana.

We have so many festivals round the year that we do not have to search any additional opportunity for entertainment. In a way it is good that we have so many as it gives respite from our other routine engagements and makes us happy and occupied.

Different states have different festivals and it gives the opportunity to other state people to learn those things from each other.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
