Bangalore-South seat of BJP goes to Tejasvi Surya, instead of Mrs. Tejaswini Ananth kumar

In a surprise move BJP declared Mr. Tejasvi Surya, General Secretary of Karnataka BJP Youth wing as their candidate from Bangalore-South. There was lots of rumours that BJP will select Mrs. Tajeswini Ananth Kumar w/o Late Anath Kumar , who was Union Minister recently died.

Amidst all speculation Mr. Tejasvi Soorya has been nominated. His opponent from congress part is a veteran, Sri. B K Hariprasad a Rajya sabha member.

There is a fight between young and old. Mr. Tejasvi is 28 years old and B K Hariprasad is 65. Who will succeed.

It seems this time BJPis giving more importance to young candidates and trying to sideline the old generation. Advani has not been given a seat and Amit Shah is contesting from the Gandhi Nagar. murali Manohar Joshi was asked to give in writing that he will not contest. Now in Karnataka, a young candidate from Yuva Morcha had been selected for the post. It is good to see young people but they should follow good marks left back by the senior leaders like Advani and Manohar Joshi and should be away from corruption as the other senior leaders of the party. Then only the move can be justified.
He is a legal professional from Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies. He was very active during his college days in Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) before moving into the Yuva morcha or youth wing of the BJP.

    always confident
