New lesson to the politicians- Alliance at leadership level does not work

In Uttar Pradesh BSP and SP joined hands in the parliamentary election 2019, Their calculation and of adding vote share of both parties has resulted in negative results. This is mainly because people at the grass root level has not accepted such alliance.

Similarly in Karnataka , Congress party joined hands with Janata Dal -Secular and failed miserably. It is very easy for the leaders to sign an alliance but it is very difficult for the party cadres to accept such arrangement. In grass root level the party cadres have ideological attachment to the party. Whereas it has become very easy for the party leaders to forge alliance.

Yes. Leaders can do whatever they want, But party cadre at the grass root level may not digest this, TDP was created against the policies of Congress. The same TDP party gone hand in hand with Congress this time. Even though there is no direct understanding with Congress in the state, people are seeing the moment of TDP and its alliance with Congress in Telangana was not liked by the cadre of the party and that may be a reason for the defeat of TDP.
There are many such examples where the alliance with parties is not liked by the cadre.
Politicians should get a lesson from these results. They can't fool the people forever.

Many parties join hands for fighting with the common opponent but it might not work always especially when opponent is having some strategy to cope up with such alliances. These alliance can work in only one condition if they merge and make one common leader which of course may not be acceptable to the constituents. So, these alliances are to be made after proper deliberations and thinking. This time also same thing has happened. The alliances failed miserably. Out of all the affected states UP is the one where alliance between the two mammoths failed as that was only done for the temporary convenience but did not result in that way. The early isolation of congress from them (Mahagathbandhan) did not help congress either. Politics is a game of strategy and groundwork and haphazard and illogical alliances will never result in the political gains.

Alliance with a common cause might work but alliance made in haste will fail miserably and same thing has happened in the present case. This clearly indicates that alliance should not be made just for the sake of the alliance but for the sake of planning for winning the election.
