Cricketers with stringent fitness tests- why prone to injuries?

In the Indian world cup cricket 2019 squad few of the players have suffered injuries and are not available for some of the matches. Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar are the key players of the Indian Squad. We can accept accidental injuries during the play. Shikhar Dhawan injured his left thumb while playing a bouncer bowled by Nathan Coulter-Nile. While Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is nursing hamstring injury.

With such stringnt fitness tests why the players are failing and making it difficult for the team Management?. How far the non-availability of Shikhar Dawan and Buvaneshwar Kumar will affect the future matches?

In yesterday's match, Rahul played well and showed that we can rely on him.
In yesterday's Match in the absence of Bhuvaneswar Kumar, Vijayan Sanker bowled well and showed some promise that he may be a useful material for this tournament.
The problems what these two players got are not due to their fitness problem. Dhawan injured due to a ball hit. Bhuvaneswar problem is to slipping due to wetness in the ground. I feel sometimes such problems will come and it is a chance for the people who are waiting to show their talent. Rahul and Vijayan utilised the chance and showed that they also have the potential. Always there are chances for unexpected to happen. In such cases, the team should have a fall back arrangement. That is for 11 players requirement 16 will be sent and in between if there is any requirement, BCCI will send players.
Anyhow, players should have good fitness when they are going to such competitions and they should not be injured easily. Physical fitness is very important for all players and sportspersons.

Physical Fitness is a general state of health and well-being or specifically the ability to perform aspects of sports or occupations. It is their ability to function optimally ,Physically & mentally. As fitness differs for different position, like batting, bowling, fielding & wicket keeping, we normally follow a routine method common for all.
A study/ assignment was conducted on cricketers using GPS and it says that each position requires different approach to fitness. One can check the study from - https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org, " AN ASSESSMENT OF THE PHYSICAL FITNESS DEMANDS OF ONEDAY CRICKET USING GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM TRACKING SOFTWARE".
