Why is there no convincing road map for vital human indicators?

The Union Budget presented recently talks mostly about the macro. There is no mention about job creation. Social security is just not the focus at all. There is hardly any pointers towards increasing minimum wages or innovations in the Public Distribution System. The vital question of how will the States with huge migrant populations like Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka be compensated for additional burden of PDS if the one ration card thing is to be implemented, has not been made clear.

The Union Government wants to eat into powers of States. The so-called thrust towards digital India and the " One" obsession in terms of one party, one election and one language is a sign of things to come. No clarity is there on macro goals. In one stroke, the prices of all essential commodities have already increased. With no new jobs being created, every middle class Indian will settle for cheaper substitutes. Why is there only one obsession about macro economic management?

As a common man many are not happy because of raise in petrol price which will make all the prices to go up. This is the main concern for many.
I have not gone through the budget fully. Only main points I have seen in newspapers. People who went through the budget fully can only talk about many points raised by the author
Income tax payers also are not very happy with the budget.
The FM is very careful in her budget speech and never gave any false statements and wrong hopes to anybody. Probably she thought that people are with them and they will not go away from so easily as there is no party as on date which is better than their party.

The present Govt does not believe in job creation just to engage people for no work. They want to create a business environment where job opportunities rise and people can get work as commensurate to their capabilities. So, the priorities of the Govt at the present juncture is in terms of macros only and through this the overall infrastructure development and industrial progress will be ascertained which indirectly generates jobs. No Govt can give employment to all the people overnight in a populous country like India. It is only a dream if we hope so.

Another interesting point is that today the people who do not have interest in academics should not waste their time in pursuing higher education and instead go for some skill oriented certificate course and diploma after class 10 or 12 and then start ones own work or join a job at that level. Doing M.Sc./ B.E. with low score has no meaning in todays situation. It is waste of parents money.

    Knowledge is power.
