Which are the good tourist spots in AP that are worth visiting?

In every state, we do have many good tourist spots that are superb for their natural surroundings. The kind of publicity that one spot or some famous spot gets is normally not highlighted at all. For example, near Chittoor, there is a famous Kone falls. But it is not very famous in Tamil Nadu, for lack of publicity.

I request Members from AP to please give some good information about the most famous tourist spots. Particularly, the ones that have very good waterfalls. There are thousands who like to take off to AP for summer vacation. Please provide details so that one can pass it on to those who are interested.

More than 24 hours passed. ISC has many active members from the state of Andhra Pradesh who don't miss a thread. As there is no response from AP members, it is to be presumed that there is no suitable tourist spot in Andhra Pradesh that are worth visiting. I too never heard of any famous tourist spots in Andhra Pradesh except Tirupathi, a holy shrine for Hindus.

Well, I am not aware of the waterfalls tourist spots in AP but in Telangana, we have some near the Nagarjuna Sagar which called Mallela Theertham. I had been to this place once and it was very nice to see a dense forest while reaching the place and tranquil waterfalls that would greet the tourists. As many does not know the place, the rush is less and the Telangana tourism can be contacted for having the guided tour to these waterfalls and even to Nagarjuna Sagar dam. Actually Nagarjunasagar dam is nearby to AP Guntur district, so the visit can be planned by those who are visiting Vijayawada or Guntur.

The best tourist spot during summer in AP is the city Visakhapatnam. The weather is so pleasant after 4 PM in the hottest summer also. There are many places which you can visit by staying in Visakhapatnam. Araku Valley, Borra caves and Araku Waterfalls are very good places to visit. You can hire a taxi from Vizag and visit that place. If you are interested you can stay overnight in Araku. There are many beaches in Visakhapatnam. You can spend many evenings on those beaches. You can visit SImhachalam temple, Port Balaji temple, Sri koormam, Arasavilli. Kailasigiri is a very good place for you to visit.

The next best place is the Konaseema. This is in the East Godavari Dt of Andhra Pradesh. Once the Godavari crosses Rajahmundry it will get divided into many branches and the area between Vasista and Gowtami is called Kona Seema. The area is like mini Kerala. There are many places to see in this area. Mainly they are all temples.
