The proverb " Fortune nocks at your door, but once". We have to grab the fortune opportunity. We may not know whuich is the fortune one. So we should attempt whatevr is coming our way Then we can dcide to hold on it or leave it.
We should not give occasion to regret,'Oh I missed it" afterwards. Even if we fail we can consle, I have done my best.
Sometimes we leave the firt bus thinking that the next one will be less crowded. But the next one may not come immediately and may be much late and much more crowded that we have to leavethat also. Had we boarde the earlier one, we could have reached detination by the time waitin for second bus.
Knowledge is power.
I think this thread is committed to tell the importance of every occasion. That's why we are taught to develop consistency in daily life so that we couldn't miss any occasion. Every second has it's own importance. For example if any wicketkeeper mistakes in catching the ball then he/she will not get this occasion again and they may lost trophy due to this mistake. If a UPSC student clears civil services examination in first attempt then surely it will better than second attempt. What the author want to convey is that we shouldn't lose a single occasion of winning. We should always try to go near our target from the day first.
