Requesting profile review for AdSense application

I hereby request the Webmasters, the Managing Editor and other Editors, and senior members to kindly review my AdSense profile. Kindly advise me whether my profile is suitable for AdSense application or not, and how to best enhance my chances of getting approved. Thanks in advance!

Your profile is perfectly ok for submitting AdSense approval. If you add few lines about the nature of your article contribution especially to suit with regard to the present changes of our ISC site to academics in your profile is good what I believe. Go a head of your submission after considering the views of editors and other senior members. I wish you all the best for your AdSense approval.

Your profile is showing six ticks against five which far more than enough to apply for Google AdSense to get immediate approval and my advance best wishes for that.

Poulami, now that your AdSense profile is complete in all respects, you can apply for AdSense and there won't be any problem in getting the same approved. Please note that your AdSense approval status in ISC will continue to show pending status even after the same is approved by Google and you need not worry on that point. All the best!

Yes, Poulami, give it a go. It is possible that you may get approval. Best of luck with that!

Thanks Mr. Kambhampati, Mr. Mohan, Lead Editor Mr. Saji Ganesh, and Managing Editor Vandana Madam for your valuable suggestions and inputs. I have another question. I checked out the AdSense Help topic link provided by Mr. Ganesh. In that page, point no. 10 is "Edit your profile and include links to your best 5 resources in the profile description. Use the titles of the resources as anchor text in the links." However, when I tried to edit my profile and insert the links of some of my articles, a dialogue box told me that HTML formatting is not allowed in the profile description. Kindly advise me what to do - should I just apply for AdSense and not bother about inserting links of articles in my profile, or would you kindly help me linking some of them?
    Regards,
    Poulami Bakshi

Poulami, it is just an additional suggestion and is not directly connected to the approval of AdSense by Google. You can provide non-clickable links to your articles on your profile page.

Thanks, Mr. Ganesh. I shall act accordingly.

Once your profile is adequate enough you can apply for Adsense account. Only thing is that different people are getting Adsense approval and account number allotment in different times. Some are getting in a few days while some are getting after months so that criterion is best known to the Adsense team only. There is no way you can remind them for your pending application status as they take their own time. Why I am telling this is that in your case if it is delayed do not get discouraged. There are cases where people got it after a long waiting also.

    Poulami,

Some information about listing the articles at your profile account:
    1. The facility to provide links with the HTML tags was there earlier but was disabled some years ago after it got misused.
    2. The page of your AdSense profile (the link to which you have given in this thread) lists the articles with links to them, so the AdSense team can check them out from that page itself. If they so wish, they can also check the content that you have submitted through the 'contributions' tab at your profile account. So don't worry too much about it. One way or the other they will be checking your contributions here since they do need to review those before approving your application.

Keep in mind what Neeru stated, too, that some people get their applications approved within a day or two, others have to wait for quite a while. I would suggest that, whatever the case may be, continue with your contributions on a regular basis without breaks. Let the content build up nicely and do aim towards our new academic niche, submitting articles related to careers, courses, and the like. For example, since you are pursuing a Ph.D. in English literature, why not write something about that, such as the road map to pursuing a Ph.D. in the subject, how it will benefit (e.g. teaching career, getting invited to be a guest faculty or give a talk), how to select a guide for this subject, etc.

Many thanks, Mr. Hakimuddin Kuwakhedawala and Neeru Bhatt Madam for your kind responses.

Vandana Madam, many thanks for the topic suggestions. I shall definitely try to write on them. Also, I was trying to contribute on a regular basis but then the cyclone Amphan came! The small nearly-coastal town I live in with my husband is still without electricity and water supply - we had to move to his ancestral house further inland. Since we are sharing just one PC there, I cannot post as much as I was doing. However, I shall still try my level best to keep contributing. And thanks again for the wonderful topics you have suggested.

I have just applied for AdSense. ISC says Google Status is Accepted, but Google says they are working on the set-up. I am attaching the screenshots below. Here is the ISC Screenshot:

And here is the Google Screenshot. I posted it separately because I could not attach two pictures to one response here.

Kindly instruct me if anything else needs to be done or should I just sit cool and keep posting. Thanks in advance!

You have got the Adsense account number that pub - ... ... ... thing and they will set up your account and advertisements soon and after some time you login to Adsense and then click 'Reports' on the left side and then you can see the earnings day wise in a big table. Earnings might be small but do not get discouraged it takes time to come up and please continue your contributions in ISC. Congratulations and all the best.

Does having the pub-ID means I have my AdSense account approved? The pub-id was generated almost instantly as soon as I applied and filled in the due form. I was thinking they have just received/ accepted the application and after some time they will let me know whether the application was approved or rejected.

    Poulami Bakshi

  • #698164
    Poulami,

You are correct. Having a pub-ID does not mean approval. As per the image that you have shared, the status is showing as 'Accepted', meaning the application has been accepted. When the application is approved, then it will change to 'Approved'. Google will also send you an intimation of the status, whether approved or not. Let's hope for the best, and update us on the status in this thread.

Thank you for the clarification, Vandana Madam. Whatever is the result, I shall definitely keep you all posted by updating this thread.

    Poulami,

I had a look today at your AdSense profile page and it seems your application has not been approved. Did you get any direct intimation in this regard via email from Google?

No, Vandana Madam, I am yet to hear anything positive or negative from Google. Should I just keep waiting patiently for their response or should I need to do anything about it? And sorry for the awfully late reply: I was not able to come online for a long time.
    Regards,

No problems in the delay to respond. I will confer with Tony Sir for guidance on this.

Google has changed the process a lot recently and I am not sure how that affects the process for our system. With the new policies, they will individually review each site and approve/reject, which usually happens in 2 or 3 dys.

What was the date you applied for AdSense through ISC?
