The New Education Policy caters to the needs of a promising future.

NEP 2020 comes after around 35 years after and it seems to overhaul the whole education system from toe to head. At least on the paper, it seems to be a revolutionary step to meet the education with demands of the industry, with job prospects and with practical implications.

For years we have been rote learning facts and clearing endless exams just to be absorbed by the economy without skill at our disposal. The 5+3+3+4 format replaces the existing 10+2 with interdisciplinary learning and internships to get the multidisciplinary degrees and certificates in between the entry and exit points.

The rote learning would be replaced with holistic examinations where the core competencies would be checked than memorization capabilities. One of the most interesting inclusions is the teaching in regional and mother tongue, which has been scientifically proved to be a nurturing step to improve the quality of mindset of the child.

Many more things are yet to be disclosed with challenges lying ahead.
