With festivities going thin the labors associated with it are helpless

Gone are the days when Hyderabad used to be agog with activities three months before the actual Ganesh festivities would be started. The areas like Uppal, Ramanthapur, Dhoolpet, ECIL and other big areas wherein labors would be engaged to make Ganesh idols of various size. Due to corona virus and restrictions of using plaster of paris, the idol manufacturers are left with no job this time and they are all set to return home to Bihar and West Bengal as the Navaratri celebrations are also going to be dull and nothing.

True. Telangana is very famous for this Ganesh festival. In almost every nook and corner area of the State will also have these Gapthi Platforms. But this year we are not seeing any such activity anywhere in entire Telangana including Hyderabad. Tomorrow is the immersion day and there is no festive look anywhere.
Ganesh idols made with plaster of Paris and with synthetic colours are not used these days by many people as there is an increase in the awareness among the people. So this year the business of selling these idols is very dull and many people are suffering from unemployment due to this. Many such people who are going back to their native places as they have no way to earn their food here. Many people may be suffering in other places in Maharastra and AP also where this is very big business.

Every where it is happening the same thing. The daily labourers especially the occasional labourers who got jobs only during the festival times are now sitting jobless. It is really a very sad situation.
