Missing fear in us over the continuing pandemic issues

I have seen a scene of Mahabharat in television. King Sishubalan comments Lord Krishna more and more in the courtyard of Dhuriyodana. After allowing a gap of period Lord Krishna killed Sishubalan with His Chakrayudha. Even by seeing the power of Lord Krishna, Dhuryodhana and his brothers did not change their opinion about Lord Krishna and tried to bound with chains. They are commenting and mocking Lord Krishna.
Similar situation is prevailing in our country among our people. In spite of seeing the deaths in front of us, we are seeing alarming ambulances on the roads daily but we are not having even moral fear on the pandemic issue.
We should not criticize any government for the steps and instructions as the pandemic situation is a bad gift to our country but we people do not care about the danger in neglecting the instructions of government. We do our move on the roads freely without mask and by not maintaining social distance and we feel pleasure in enjoying the liberalization of lock down by government, we are roaming or assembling on the roads without any reason etc.,

We the people are habitual offenders and we would not mind our health and life and risk to go out even it is not necessary as we are not habituated to sit and stay at home. In Hyderabad the city has almost limped to normalcy with only local buses not running. The life has become bustling with people coming out in large numbers, traffic jams on main roads, the Metro trains started working however the local buses are not plying and the autos are making a kill. What I mean to say people have taken the death to their strides. They say that if the corona virus would be cause for the death, they are ready to die because there is no life guarantee in future nor present and therefore living with fear and stay put at home is no use. Some even say that they want to enjoy life to the hilt and then die without any pending demand.

Author has highlighted a very grave issue, which I also see regularly these days. It is easy to blame the government and the cry that the Government doesn't listen to citizens. The government has already given us enough warning and precautions we need to take to be safe during this pandemic which is increasing day by day.

I also see that Covid 19 is almost over but in the minds of people but in reality it is spreading like wildfire. I see kids playing in park without masks and parents also standing there without any distancing and safety. Even in markets it seems as if there is nothing wrong, people are standing just next to each other,

Things will not improve unless we improve ourselves. Japan is the best example that can be quoted. It is so easy to put the blame on others for our own misdeeds.

    Live before you leave.

The example of the Mahabharata which the author has given is very appropriate. It is very easy for people to comment and joke but people do not want to be responsible themselves. The government is urging the public to take care of all possible precautions. How to be careful while coughing and sneezing. Avoid being overcrowded. Wash your hands continuously with soap. If all follow the rules, then we will help the country and its citizens by preventing it from spreading. But as the cases are increasing, fear of the people in the country is getting removed and carelessness is increasing. Some people are among those who do not learn until something bad happens to them or to someone close to them. It is very important for people to understand the magnitude of this epidemic. After all, how long will the responsibility of the safety of everyone only remain with the doctor and the government, till we are not aware ourselves it is not going to improve.
