Today, day and night will be equal - 23 September

Due to the Sun being on the equator on the northern hemisphere, the days and nights are equal on 23 September. After the astronomical event, the Sun will enter the South Hemisphere and the nights will gradually increase in the Northern Hemisphere. Four times a year for the Earth's climate change, the astronomical event on 21 March, 21 June, 23 September and 22 December affects the life of the common man, this is the opinion of astronomers.
In the astronomical event on September 23, the northern hemisphere begins to feel cold on the weather in the northern hemisphere due to its rays as the sun enters the south hemisphere from the north hemisphere. This day will be a twelve-hour day and a twelve-hour night. Sunrise and sunset will also be at the same time.

So in short there's a peace treaty between day and night today. They're not running after each other's length today. Rejoice humans treaties do'nt last longer than a day sometimes !!!

A good piece of information. We all know that seasons are opposite on either side of the Equator. \
The equinox in September is known as the autumnal (fall) equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. It will be the first day of fall in this area.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the equinox in September is known as the vernal (spring) equinox. this will be the first day of spring in this area.
Some more I read that In Telangana day and night are of equal duration on 22nd September 2020.

These are the celestial happenings and we have to give credence and believe the changes that takes place on this particular dates. In South we call it Dakshinayana Punya Kalam that means from the North the Sun tries to shift slowly towards the South side. In many temples special rituals and pujas are held and at present the annual adhika masa Brahmotsavam is being held at Tirumala and on this day the God would be decorated with all the gold and diamond offerings made by the devotees. Actually people would take bath in the flowing rivers and offer prayer to the their respective temples.
