Crystal gazing into the next sixty months

Any socio-economic interpretation of reality, should be based on current reality and the most possible and likely realities that will follow. Trump is most likely to get re-elected and we can expect a slightly better deal in terms of US Visas, trade co-operation and the like. When COVID scare becomes zero or near zero ( yesterday's Chennai to Coimbatore intercity express at 2.30PM was totally full. Just around 5% seats vacant, and though I traveled only 70 km with reservation, am sure the train would have been full from the other stations too. Everyone wore masks and things were almost back to normal), people will start moving around. Every possible use of any transport available will happen to increase trading ;in every form.

Tourism will be back in business. Schools and colleges will once again get money, as the money supply through fresh jobs is likely to happen. Demand for cars will pick up and car loans will happen once again. Housing will pick up too. People are simply fed up with social distancing. People would really like to be near their friends and relatives. One can expect quick business in terms of all essential items. When people greet others, they always tend to buy sweets and biscuits. Sales of such items will zoom. The marketing whiz-kids from the best B schools will be back in business. If the Government reduces GST and also allows banks to increase deposit and lending rates ( very likely to happen), there will be more money in the hands of the people and this will translate into better demand for shopping and watching movies in the multiplexes. People will learn from their experience. Siddha and Ayurvedic medicines will also find favor and there will be a big movement towards Indian cure.

Once the demand picks up for electronic goods in the West, the same can be seen here as well. The movement in terms of increased sales of electronic goods is likely to happen. One thing for sure -- people will throw out all the masks and be totally free. Everywhere. They would want freedom to return to the pre-COVID days.

Enough is enough, we have been bent to ground and virus from China has taken our bolt out of the life. Yet we have understood one big lesson that nothing comes before our confidence level and every Indian is slowly getting up and try to walk the life with much more vigor and acquire all those lost glory and progress that were happening seven months back. Actually India was caught unaware of this kind of magnitude effect and yet we must thank the people who put the brave fight to face the pandemic against all odds and keeping the children in tact, caring the elders at home. working from home and managing the house hold activities and yet having the tab of happening around were routines of everyone we must pat ourselves. Surely good days are ahead as I could see whole lots people in the spending thrift purchases and soon we would be back on rail.

True. Slowly people are coming back to normal. How long they can manage without earning money? People started going for jobs and earn. Many factories started working and people are going and working there. I have seen all these people are taking all the necessary precautions like wearing a mask and sanitizing the area and washing hands and social distance maintenance. I have seen today morning some buses running on the road after a long time. Probably, city buses also will start functioning.
Let us hope the normal situation will come and we will be back with our freedom. The vaccine is awaited. Once it comes our old days will come back and we all will be on our original way. The employees working from home are also thinking of moving out at least for sometime of the day and they are getting restless by working from home always.

The author has presented the future in a very brighter way and I appreciate him for his positive attitude. We all hope that things would more or less move in that direction only and a complete recovery would be there. Only thing is we the citizens of this country have to observe some discipline and care in our day to day life and if someone is not following the guidelines then we should publicly condemn him. Govt can only enforce certain rules and regulation but until the people abide by them no progress can be achieved. Today we are going through a turbulent time for our economy as well as other fundamentals and a comeback can only be there when complete cooperation and compliance is made by all of us.

Next 60 months or 5 years is a big time and definitely we can hope for the progress and boomeranging of economy back to its initial position or even better. It would all depend upon the early eradication of corona problem and efforts of the industry and people for the betterment in this regard. This is a tough time but with cooperation from all the corners it is possible to achieve good results.

In Hyderabad we thought that the economy was slow and not picking up because of no connectivity between the places as there were no local buses and local trains. But Metro trains were started functioning since one week and since yesterday even the local buses also started plying. However there is no rush either inside the trains or the buses and most of them are plying empty. This proves that people are really frightened of covid spread if they travel in public transport. On the contrary many are using their own vehicles and hiring auto for their single sitting trips and getting the work done. So it takes time to be normal.

With this epidemic, many changes have occurred in the thinking and lifestyle of the people and perhaps now the world has learned to live with it, it is certainly possible that by how long life will be completely normal as it was till 2019 but Yet with the hope of one that we can protect ourselves, people are contributing back to the economy. The situation is different in different areas, so it is difficult to say that the economy is increasing in all places.
