New Year is here but there is nothing to celebrate about.

Year 2020 has entered its last month but as we all know that the entire World has gone through a very tough time and is still struggling to find the cure for the Corona virus. There isn't really anything to cheer about as the year has been a very damp year for business, service and everyone alike. Except few most of the people have suffered and have hardly seen anything good this year.

Happy mood for new year is really not there only hope for cure and a better next year is what everyone is expecting.

What mood members have for the upcoming year 2021?

The best mood for welcoming a New Year is the same for me as it is in previous years - one of hope. Yes, there have been trying moments for all of us and it's not exactly, as you said, what one would call a happy year with so many zillions around the globe dying of the pandemic and really tough times financially for so many. Yet, there is no better way to face the future than with resilience and hope, not letting what went before overwhelming you so much that you do not enjoy what will come ahead. So look forward always with hope, of maintaining good relationships, and of renewing and strengthening bonds with family and friends, and above all, the hope that this virus will one day die out.

Nothing to celebrate about 2020, yes. Hope to celebrate 2021 with the death of the virus.

When in trouble, if he/she laughs, the trouble would get away and good fortune would smile at them. This is the logic and philosophy of life. Though 2020 is a year of curse with too many problems like pandemic, flood, cyclone etc, the year has made a lot of changes in human life with better understanding about life on earth.

Despite pandemic, we celebrated all the festivals happily. In the same manner, we hope to celebrate Christmas and the New year 2021.

"Thunbam Nerkayil...Yazhisaithu nee Inbam serka Maattaayo" - A Tamil song means - Whilst in trouble, won't you fiddle the veena and make it a joy? On the New year day, let us play music and drive away Corona to make our living comfortable.

We should be happy to send off 2020 which created many problems in this world. We all should feel happy that 2020 is over. We all should welcome 2021 with a lot of hope that 2021 will be one of the best years. Let us be optimistic. Let us hope that Vaccine will come and we can say goodbye to COVID19 with this vaccine and normalcy will come in our lives and we all will start working enthusiastically. Let us all hope that we earn more than what we have lost in 2020. Let us not allow negative thoughts to come into our minds.

This year people have to sacrifice to make the future brighter. We have celebrated so many new years in the past and today the demand is for not celebrating it in the traditional way and one should remain in ones house and avoid any social mixing. This is the sacrifice we have to make if we want to be safe in the coming 2021. Let us all celebrate it online by video chatting and wish each other a happy new year.

After a challenging year that is going by, surely there would be soothing and more promising year that is at the threshold of welcoming us. Because after the storm. there has to be normalcy, after the bad period there has to be good period to recoup all the loses and fame and that is going to happen in 2021 as India is getting ready to administer the new find vaccine to at least 30 crore population in first lot and that proves that good days are knocking our door and we need not fear another worst year. Surely no one was happy with 2021 which has destroyed the very hope of every individual in general and children in particular. The children has to be appreciated for adjusting to the new normal conditions and that itself prove that the days are good in future and the 2021 is going to be more rewarding than expected to all.

I remember that during new year many people went to other places to enjoy the new year party and as a consequence the hotel rates and flight rates increased tremendously during the end of the December. Now this year the trend is not known right now but in all probability only the risk taking people will be going to other places to celebrate and definitely the momentum will be less. Though Covid threat is there but I have seen some people who are confident that even if it happens to them they will be alright within 15-20 days and back to the normal life. They also quote that the death rate is about 2% and they count themselves in 98 only. That is the reason of their confidence that they are roaming here and there without mask. But they are forgetting that seeing their ways their family members are also learning the same and one fine day they lose one of the family members because that individual was unfortunately not in 98! Then they also start wearing mask. So it requires a death in our house to learn wearing the mask. It is ridiculous. I do not foresee any big celebration during the coming new year eve and feel that we should have control on our wants and desires and keep a low profile and today we have all the fun in the TV fixed on the wall and enjoy the programs sitting inside the house.

Hope is something which makes people to look forward to tomorrow. Without hope, mankind cannot survive. This year, the entire world is in trouble due to a pandemic. This is not going to stop us from hoping for a better year in 2021. We are all eagerly waiting for the scientists to come out with a vaccine to make things normal. Let us not be pessimistic and always be optimistic about the future.
Lakhs of people died due to the coronavirus this year all over the world. We are still here and this one is a big reason to celebrate the end of 2020 and a happy and healthy 2021.
