Why such a long delay at ISC in evaluating contest entries and announcement of results?

Dear ISC,
ISC organised a contest that started on 22nd December 2020 and ended on 4th January 2021. And the results were announced on 8th January 2021. The editor concerned was very prompt in evaluating the contest entries (e-book Christmas holiday train). It took only 4 (Four)days to announce the results.

However, it is deeply regretted to state that a contest organised by ISC that commenced on 15th December 2020 and concluded on 27th December 2020 is still waiting for results (Thread challenge contest). Even after 14 (Fourteen days) the result is yet to be announced.

Why delay? What is happening? Who is responsible to ensure this timely announcement of results?

We understand the frustration in announcing the delay of that particular contest. Note that no two contests are equivalent and some may take longer in the evaluation of the results. Delays also occur because, as we have times without number mentioned, due to valid personal reasons because some of the editors, including the contest organizer, are not available on a regular basis. Family responsibilities and professional commitments outside ISC take precedence. As a long-term member of ISC, it would be good to exercise patience, surely! It is not like anyone is irresponsible or forgotten about the contest. Some things inadvertently take time to unfold. We've waited for a vaccine since so long, what is a minor contest result in that light?!
