Book reviews - update on the new niche
Last year Tony Sir had announced the move towards an academic portal. One of the acceptable topics listed was books. However, as per a recent discussion here's a new update - no general reviews of books as such should be submitted. What will be allowed are articles that recommend specific books to prepare for some entrance exam or a course. Such articles would need to have informative content bringing out clearly whey these books would be beneficial and adhere to the general articles submission guidelines. Now, this does not mean that you merely list a number of reference books that are given as recommended by a particular institute based on the syllabus. We will expect an analysis of how those books benefit the student in studying a particular subject of a course or preparing for some major competitive or another type of entrance test. Thus, for example, if you pursued a course in architecture and found that a book was immensely helpful in understanding the use of a particular type of material to build earthquake-resistant homes, you can give a review of that book.
In case there is any confusion about this or other types of articles that you wish to clarify about, post your doubts and queries in a response to this thread. We will discuss it with Tony Sir and get back to you.
