The author has highlighted a good issue. Most of the relatives were confined to their
home and family, they did not show any willingness to meet the rest of the world. They were so much scared of coronavirus, they even stopped meeting with neighbouring families and relatives. We did not close our doors for others. Many people came to the door who didn't have money and had a scarcity of food also and most of the people helped them with an open heart. It was great an exhibition of human values. Coronavirus filled the hearts of people with human feelings and cooperation. However, some imposters would also come for getting some kind of help but people did not mind to help them too. I don't think if anyone would like to see another lockdown ever.

Covid pandemic has created a scary situation mostly in the early months when it hit India in a match last year. Everyone tried to maintain distance from people and even in the family to prevent this virus to disrupt the lives of people. It is a fact that many lives have been lost and many are still under its grip struggling for life. Therefore, people maintained a distance from people and even relatives stayed away from visiting each other. It was high time to test the compassion of people and see who is ready to help others when everyone was running away.

The author is absolutely right, when hard times come in life, only then we understand the importance of our true friends and relations. Many people come together in our good times and many do not leave together in bad times. During the Corona epidemic, it was necessary for us to protect ourselves and our loved ones, so even those who have been able to help others are worthy of respect while taking care of themselves at this time. There are many different ways to help if the person really wants to help.

There is a saying in Telugu which means that we should save ourselves first before you save others. Even when we travel on flights they will suggest us to wear an oxygen mask before we help others. When we are not there where the question of helping others.
During Corona, we restricted our movements and we tried not to meet others. There are two reasons for that. We may get infected from them or it may be vice versa. Some people used to say directly not to visit them. So I think meeting and helping people those times can't be taken as a selfish act.
Financially many people helped others. I know many people who cooked food and served many people who are not having food. Foodgrains were also supplied during that period. Many people are in touch with other friends and relatives on phone and used to know their well being.

Bitter truth is that people are distancing away in the garb of their life and their safety.
