Why PM became so sentimental towards Gulam Nabi Azad's retirement from Rajya Sabha?

Rajya Sabha is a permanent house where members leave after five years of their service. Gulam Nabi Azad is a member of Congress has completed five years of his term. So it is a routine for members to bid farewell to members who are retiring from the house. During bid farewell to Congress member Gulam Nabi Azad, PM Modi got emotional and became sentimental towards him. So many members retire after five years of their service in RS. Is this emotional feeling is due to Mr. Azad may not be selected by Congress Party for another term as he got some personal disputes with the party? Is BJP trying to attract him towards their party?

Generally, politicians don't have any such emotions to other leaders, especially the opposition party leaders. Modi's emotional speech on Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad may not be to attract him towards Modi's party, but to silence him from talking anything ill about Modi's party after leaving the house. A good show put up by both Modi and Azad.
