It is the fact that Congress has gone bad to worse in the recent past and that made seniors fume at the high command and they started a group named by the media called G23. Over the past few days they are meeting at different places talking against the ineffective leadership and the party has not taken any disciplinary action against them and thus they are going all out to dissent further. It is believed that the senior leaders have no place in the decision making of the party and thus they are fuming inside to shift sides. And the BJP is ready to embrace anybody who dumps Congress for any sake. What is surprising that this meeting has happened when the Congress was caught off guard over sudden announcement of poll dates to four states and one UT and this dissent is going to ruin the party further.

This G-23 is a sign that some leaders in congress want a change in top position as they feel that nothing can be done in a concrete way for the revival of congress if the top leadership is not changed. So, this is not exactly a dissident group but a corrective group and may be congress party is on the brink of breaking in two parts. Let us see how the high command reacts on this meet and then we could speculate in a better fashion.

Surely it is the dissent group wanting change of guard at high command and they intend to bring Priyanka Gandhi to the leadership or forgo the party to join BJP.

Ghulam nabi azad is praising Prime Minister much more than what is expected from senior leader like him. He may or may not join BJP ,time will tell but it's sure that everything is not O.k. In Congress party.if some leaders are questioning about top leadership there should be some serious issues.I think congress leadership needs to sort out dissenting coming from different corners . It will harm the party. Senior leaders like Kapil Sibbal are not happy . Leadership seems to be in dilemma how to cope with G23 .

23 is not a small number. If the dissent group G23 wants, they can part with Congress and form a different party. If done, they may or may not succeed. Such a new Congress party would be required to work hard to regain their position. SG-RG Congress would be cut to size.

Since Azad does not have chance to get re elected from the RS from Congress, he has been praising the PM and BJP to get the nomination and this is for sure.

I want to add one point here that seeing the strong and determined Govt in centre, today we require a constructive opposition which can applaud the good efforts of the Govt but raise concerns where actually the right of the poor is being affected. Opposing everything for the sake of opposing makes an opposition weak and it loses its reputation amid the masses. So with this G-23 thing emerging on the side lines of a weak opposition is a ray of hope that this new group might transform into a new wave of thought process in the existing opposition and that would definitely be in the direction of the betterment only.
