Apart from Facebook is there any other online medium to catch up with old friends?

Through some luck, I was able to trace someone very close to me for decades. We lost touch but from Facebook got to know that he was employed with a particular BSchool in Gujarat and through contact numbers provided, got to talk to him. Today, we talk once in three days over phone and do hope to meet soon as well.

Since am not a very active person even on Facebook and do not have a big IT background, I want to know from anyone who knows the nitty-gritty as to whether there is any other medium like Facebook to seriously try to trace old friends. Some people are not even in Facebook. In such circumstances, is there any other method or medium of staying in touch?

This information will greatly help others as well.

If you type the full name of the person in Google search bar, usually if those individuals are good at social media, you can trace out through various suggestions came out. If they are not good at social media it will be difficult trace out. Even if you type our name in Google search as we are popular in ISC , our details come out.

Now a days many of the contacts which have either disappeared or not traceable in the past can now be found thanks to Google search through which who ever famous on any social media like Whatsapp, twitter or Instagram can be know through their photos and thus the contacts cane be restored. Some old friends in Facebook are having the groups through lost school and college contacts can be restored. Only thing is that those who are in touch with us during the school and college days should remember our face and place of staying and that would make the contacts more perfect.
