Ranu Mondal was a poor woman living on the platform and was singing well. A music director was attracted by her melodious voice and picked her up and made her a star singer. She received many awards and rose to fame. She made her wealth overnight. She sang the song "Teri Meri Kahani'. Her favourite song is "Ek Pyar ka Nagma hai...". She has excellent voice. Now she seems to be missing.

Film Industry is full of competition and there is no entry for the new talents as the old and established people feel that their position would be threatened and thus would not allow to come up. She might be having good voice and good public support but be accepted by the Bollywood fraternity and therefore may be kept low profile and not seen. It is the fact that new talents are not getting the impetus though they are being selected and spotted through the reality shows but the nepotism in the film Industry is again visible through this as the singer was not seen nor spotted on any platform.
