    Beautiful birds are vanishing

Some years ago we would see several types of birds flying over home or perching on tree branches. Now we do not listen to cuckoo's sweet voice - even sparrows and crows are not often seen. Where these birds have gone and why they have gone, such questions come to mind. However, sometimes some birds come and sit on walls. We had a small tree in our courtyard, then sparrows would come and sit on the branches of the tree and we feed them seeds and placed water in a pot for them since the place was shady for them so they would freely hop in a shady part of the courtyard but the tree was cut because of some construction work. Also, I miss it because I would sit under its shadow in summer. After it birds stopped coming to our home.
Now, sometimes, some birds come and sit on a wall or fence or ground, we feed them seeds and give them water in a pot but hardly, they return.

As the digital technology progress , the demand for good cell phone signals has given rise to many new towers being errected in the concrete jungles, and places where the birds used to have the nest. As the result of cell phone tower dangerous rays, the birds have been dying slow death and no one is asking about it. The same was shown in the Rajnikanth starrer with Ajay kumar when the cell phone rays destroy the living of so many birds or gone vanishing. That would have happened and the animal activists are not taking note of it. At least this post should bring in a thought process as to how to protect birds from towers rays.

There are many reasons for the absence of these birds.
The main reason is pollution. These days all the places are polluted. Some are polluted highly and some areas a little less. But we will not find places without pollution. Because of the presence of unwanted gases in the air, the whole atmosphere is changing. This is making the birds sit inside their nests only.
Another point is no trees. Many of the colonies in cities and some places even in villages also we will not find any big tree. Trees are cut and houses are built. So there is no area for the birds to make their nests. Hence they are leaving those areas and searching for a new area.
During the pandemic, last year when the lockdown was implemented pollution levels came down and we are able to see some birds flying over the houses even in cities also.

I agree with the author, this is a matter of concern. We all know about Dr. Saalim Ali, the 'Bird Man of India', who opposed many technologies, the most important being the mobile towers while raising concern for birds. All of us have seen and felt a decrease in the chirping of birds in the last few years. In the last year, when the corona epidemic was located near-total lockdown, during that time various groups of birds started showing up again. Protecting animals and birds is a human responsibility and for this, there is a need to raise awareness among the common people. If possible in this scorching heat, water should be kept in pots by setting a place for animals and birds to drink. While protecting animals and birds, we should take care that we do not interfere in their natural life, at the same time, we should also take special care that there is no problem in their life due to us.

The sparrows are going extinct and in future our grand children may not even see them. Only few sparrows are left thanks to the concern shown by the bird lovers.

Who does not like the chirping of birds in ones garden or rooftops. When I was in my school we used to see a lot of birds in the garden adjacent to the school and also near our house where a cluster of trees existed. Nowadays we do not see many birds near our houses and we have to go to specific places where birds come in case we are interested in bird watching. It is said that many birds are reducing in their numbers due to various environmental condition created mainly by human activities. This is very sad that some species of birds will be not be there in this world.
    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.
