Can you read between the lines the exit of HarshaVardhan,Ravishankar Prasad

The most surprising element in today's Cabinet reshuffle in the Central Government was not any inclusion, but the exclusion of HarshVardhan,Ravi Shanlkar Prasad and Javadekar. Frankly, I never imagined such happenings.

Will it not give a message that they were not up to the mark and did not handle their departments well? The PM has the prerogative to include or remove anyone from his ministerial team. When such removal occurs at a normal cold routine time, it will be taken as a routine exercise due to political needs and adjustments. However even without expanding the cabinet all through this time even when exigencies existed, and removing someone at a very critical time, definitely it is to send some message.

In the exit of Harsh Vardhan and Ravi Shankar Prasad also this may be happening. Recently Subramaniam Swamy wanted the health minister to be removed and he openly recommended Nitin Gadkari's name.Similarly Ravi Shankar Prasad is exiting when Twitter is challenging the government. I am still not able to understand why Javadekar resigned. In the coming days, they may be given some party positions and spokesmen may justify all these. But as of now, it may appear Modi has succumbed to external pressure. Of course similar shuffles and resignations occurred during Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi's time too. That time also it was doubted as external pressure. Seems history repeats itself.

When Smt K K Shailaja former health minister of Kerala was not given continuity in the second Pinarayi cabinet people were surprised and media was full of that discussion for many days. But then the party had some justifiable stand.

The effects of today's cabinet shuffle, we have to wait and see, and probably media will give more bytes for us to bite. Let us hope everything leads to positive results.

For the first time in India the cabinet reshuffle was done without even knowing to the present ministers about their fate and continuity and that was the take of this great expansion. PM Modi made it clear to the country that he want performance and not degrading of his policies and programs. The way the covid program was handled by the Minister earned the wrath from everyone and PM was unhappy and the way Ravi Shankar Prasad handled the Twitter issue may be costed him his seat. Nevertheless, Modi has new and vibrant team to take on the united opposition rejig to field a common candidate to PM seat.

Modi won't commit such mistakes without properr thinking and analysis, and recommendation. There could be minister more better than the present three ministers who are being shifted. What is important is efficiency of the ministers concerned to deal with their department. Any spingle black spot on the minister is questionable and answerable by Modi. Modi is right in his deals and deeds.

In my personal opinion, Mr. Harsh Vardhan is a scapegoat for the covid mismanagement by the government. Mr. Ravishankar Prasad is probably axed for not being as tough as expected in the Twitter spat with the government. The rest is with an eye on upcoming elections. The duo of Modi and Shah are having a vice-like grip on the party and anything they do will go unquestioned. It is well known that whoever is in the cabinet or not, nothing can be done without the consent of the Prime Ministers Office.

But no body noticed that Minister Kishan Reddy who belong to Hyderabad was given three portfolios and that proves he earned the confidence of the Prime Minister Modi.

KVRR's remark in# 736244 that "...Mr. Ravishankar Prasad is probably axed for not being as tough as expected in the Twitter spat with the government." appears valid from the report of action by new IT Minister who camein place of Ravi Shankar Prasad.
A latest news headline is titled "Newly elected IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw issues stern warning to Twitter, says law of the land is supreme". That means Government is determined to stay strong. It may convey a message that Ravi Shankar Prasad was milder in his response and reaction to Twitter.

If the new IT Minister's reported reaction is what the government has as its policy ;to continue its strong and stable stand against the unamending ways of Twitter, then I would be happy that the government had not cracked under pressure. This has to be seen in the further actions and reactions by the government and minister.
