Can you give a brief of the book of your liking?

Most of the people have got reading habits and many of us might had read a good number of books related to various subjects and genres like fiction, religion, poetry, history, non-fiction, mystery, horror, suspense, even a textbook etc and the list is quite long.

Whatever books we have read, some make deep impression in our mind and we remember them for quite some time. Do you also remember any such book? I invite all the members to mention a brief about that particular book of their liking here so that we all can know about it and may be, we also like to read it.

Please restrict the brief to a maximum length of 200 words as longer reviews would only make the thread clumsy and people might not take interest in going through them.

I would also be contributing my bit later in the thread.

I too had a dream- wonderful peronality book on Vargheese Kurrian who is fondly called the Milk man of India and poineer to start the Amul milk procurement and distribution. The book was owned by one of my relative and I happened to go through the same. This wonderful book has the forward written by Ratan Tata and that specifies how important is the person we are talking about. Today Amul has been the part of parcel of every life and they have penetrated into nook and corner of the country. The Amul milk is famous with the children and so is their ice cream, Released in the year 2005 this book is the must read for management techniques.

I have read quite a good number of books but one that is still fresh in my mind is Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. I read it when I was in my HSC classes and got a copy from the local library where there was a good collection of books. The story in the book is more and less a phantasy only but it is presented in a very interesting way and one cannot leave it reading once one starts it. Though the book is primarily meant for the children as they enjoy such plots and stories but the elders can equally enjoy it.

There are many books that I have read and the numbers of these books are my favorite so it would be a little bit difficult to share any one of them. I have read non-fiction books more than fictions books, but if I talk about fiction books then I suggest - The Alchemist, from Paulo Coelho, this is a story of a boy and his dream. Another best book is " The Little Prince, by Antoine De Saint, this story is so beautiful that one must read it, it is a small story about a 6 years old boy from another planet. One more non-fiction book is- Who will cry when you will die? This book is written by Robin Sharma and it contains small chapters on the basis of daily life situations of a common man, so I like this book also. I have many books and it would be difficult to choose only one of them, I can not choose only a single of them.

It is true that those who have read so many good books cannot give one as the best as all of them might be very good.

Yes, it is definitely tough for those who have a habit to read books and completed 2 books in a weak or 7-8 books in a month. Reading is such a nice experience than anything, books are really our best friends.
