Lakshmi Prabha,
I have not read this particular book. However, I did read the other one of the same author. I read the English translation of Parthiban's Dream that was written by Kalki Krishnamurthy, and translated by Nirupama Raghavan. It was generally enjoyable, but I felt a drag in the story after around the mid-point and got a little bored then.
I suggest that when you raise a forum thread, it would be good to put in some additional text. You could, for example, give a brief summary of the story without revealing too many details and explain what you liked about the book.

Vandhana Mam,
Thanks for your suggestion Mam, Surely I keep it in mind.
"Ponniyin selvan" is the master piece of the author trying to picturize by many famous leading directors. Now director Mani Ratnam is moving the project.
The Famous king of chola, who built the great temple of Thanjavur, give up his throne and the wide dynasty to his sibling. The Real story of the great dynasty.
If you have any interest on historical novels, it is an interesting one mam.

Lakshmi Prabha,
No doubt. Ponniyin Selvan and Paarthibhan kanavu are great Tamil novels that I read during my school days. These two big novels containing many hundred pages were worth reading. I used to draw these novels from my school library and read it. But, at this age, I don't remember what it contained and what I read. All read and forgotten. Could not store in my memory file.
No life without Sun
